Thanks to CBR.com we have the Transformers: The Last Knight Medieval Battle Behind The Scenes Video.
We get an interesting first look at one of the extras from the home release, with behind-the-scenes insight into that battle between King Arthur’s knights and the Saxons at the beginning of The Last Knight and how it was planned.
“Originally, we were having a hundred guys on horses, and we were going to digitally put the rest in,” co-producer Michael Kase said in the clip.” But when it got closer to the shoot, [production designer] Jeffrey [Beecroft] was showing Michael all the overheads of Bourne Wood, where they shot Gladiator — Michael saw the scope, and said, ‘Have 200 more guys. 300 more guys.’ And by the end of the day, we got 400 guys on horses.”

And I'd be willing to bet it still didn't look as good as Gladiator OR Braveheart – fuck judging by the trailers aside from the HD clarity those scenes would struggle to pass muster for a flashback in a Highlander sequel.

Bay needs to make an medieval knight movie i would watch that!
DafuqBoom
Hearing Bay saying "Boom boom boom boom boom" explains everything

So this is where the film's budget went lol.

Do you think it's worse than ROTF?

I know the guy who was in charge of the horses in TLK, fella called Pete White, my mother works for his mother!
Next time I go home to the UK i'll try and hook up and see if I can get any good stories about it.

I am really debating weather I can buy this on DVD (before it hits discount season). Hell, I bought #4 as soon as it was released, but it took me a good three days to work my way through it for the second time, but I don't think there is anything in this one that I need to see again.

After watching this movie a second time, I must say, it's even worse than I thought it was the first time.

I see Michael Bay mastered in the fine teachings of the well venerated DJ Khaled

Waiting for the extended release of the film where they use the leftover medieval guys on horses for the polo scene

Screw it, lets put 8,000 guys on horses. If we do that, maybe people will think "wow, look at all those guys on horses" instead of "what the hell is going on in this movie".
Rumblestorm
No wonder the movie was a mess, they got a lot of TF mythology from Hasbro. Hasbro doesn't know shit about their own franchises, much less Transformers. Michael Bay & co. have proven to be incompetent in that aspect as well.
