We have a new unofficial Transformers project to highlight for you, and this time, we are not talking about a toy robot, but a promising pair of books which are set to present the ultimate Transformers photographic archive.
Presented by Ocular Echo LLC, this photographic archive boasts high quality photography of the Generation 1 Transformers. Two volumes are planned; the first is set to be a complete archive of every Generation 1 Transformer released in the US 1984 – 1990, and the second is set to be an archive of all the Japan and Europe exclusive releases from 1985 – 1993 that never made it to the US, such as Transformers Victory’s Star Saber or the mighty Thunderclash. The Kickstarter is accompanied by the completed layouts of the book, so you can see the gorgeous layouts and the amount of attention and detail lavished on each figure. Pledge tiers range from choosing one or both of the books, to supporting the project and getting your name in print. The pricing of the pledges furthermore represents a commitment to a high-quality end product, of the type that the authors themselves dreamed of having.
If you’re already stoked or at least interested in seeing the project reach its full potential, you can support Ocular Echo via their Kickstarter and give them some likes and shares on Facebook. You can also check out a few sample pages attached to this post.

Apologies for digging this old thread up and condolences to his friends/family. I was also one of those looking forward to this book before it was shut down. With that said, I was wondering what people thought would be the next best book that covered G1 upto BW (including Japanese exclusives)?

What grave news. My condolences to friends and family.

Wow. What a terrible loss. I didn’t know him personally, but I have loads of respect for the work he did. Hopefully his work can get out there somehow someday in its intended form. It would be a nice legacy. Rest in peace, sir!

Damn, thanks for everything you did (and tried to do) for us, Brr-icey. RIP

Holy crap. Gutted. Tragic.
100%.

Very sad to hear. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. I was really looking forward to this project when it was originally planned. It would be amazing if the other people in this project could bring it to fruition.
I believe there was the thought process that maybe it could get licensed? With the Art of GI Joe coming,it seems like this would be an incredible companion piece.

Man went overboard on Miami-bound Norwegian ship during ‘Headbangers Boat’ cruise – NBC 6 South Florida
He was on this cruise, he’s 41, and some of the articles mentioned him being Canadian which he is. Several of his friends on his personal Facebook page have confirmed that it’s him, although details are not officially released about exactly what happened beyond him jumping.
it’s horribly tragic and I’ve felt horrible all day

Out of respect for Brr-icey's family and friends due to his passing, let try to keep the speculation to a minimum. Facts and official statements from the family are fine (please add links). You may discuss/speculate through pm's though.
Thanks for your understanding.

Oh man, that’s so sad to hear. This was a great project. I bought some figures off Bryce a year or so ago. He was a great guy.
Turbine027
It was yesterday… you can find him by name on Facebook if you just want to confirm he passed: Bryce Rutledge
Curium
It sounds like so far it hasn't been said directly (he said the article doesn't include a name), just Turbine putting pieces of info he has together into a conclusion. He last logged in here Oct 25th so it would have been very recent if he did die.

Wait. What happened? Thus is the first I've heard that the creator passed away. This Kickstarter seemed amazing and I have been following for years. It seemed so close to materializing then vagueness came in followed by fading. It seemed like they had filmed and categorized alot of content.
DrCalligari
I haven't heard the details yet, been at work all day, but that's not good to hear
Turbine027
Yeah, the circumstances around what happened are really heartbreaking and I’m at a loss for words on how this has affected me today
DrCalligari
Agreed, he was a great guy and I'll be keeping my eyes open for any way to help on social media.

I wonder who all worked on this project with Bryce?
The circumstances are really tragic, but he passed away and I almost wonder if there’s not a way to sell electronic copies of their work as a way to help support the family?
I’d be glad to help in anyway I could, he’s going to be sorely missed in this community

I didn't back the Kickstarter but when it does go for sale, I hope I can buy it.
