Autobase Aichi has posted two commercials for Transformers: The Last Knight Mega 1-Step Dragonstorm and Allspark Tech figures.
Both commercials feature woodland settings to evoke an Arthurian flare. Mega 1-Step Dragonstorm commercial highlights the ‘Cyberfire’ feature while the Allspark Tech commercial highlights the functionality of the toys. It is worth noting that the CGI is really well done for such small TV advertisements.
You can check out the commercials, after the jump.

I wish I had made a stupid decision like that…

Saw these cube figures at Walmart. So they don't even come with their own cubes, eh? Only Optimus does, and funny enough, he wasn't even out. They're a gimmick line where the gimmick is sold separately. What.
If they were half the size and half the price, I could see that maybe. But they're literally useless by themselves, and what even does the Allspark actually do?
You nailed it, brother. Transformers itself was the stupidest decision they ever made.

Meanwhile in my entire city theres only two wave 2 voyagers and about 5 wave 1 figures. And thats it. Literally no other transformers figures.

Some countries just got in in China.

Whoa just watched them yesterday amazing!

Isn't this a bit too late??? To even run commercials for the toys too.

the commericals make a better movie then the Transformers 5 the last night

Love them or hate them the Cube seems to be charged via a USB cable. No hunting down those pesky batteries. It's a neat gimmick but the price point even or the other figures; Bee,Barricade,Drift,Hound is still steep. Will buy Optimus because I want a shadow version.

All the commercials in the world aren't going to move that Allspark Prime figure priced at $30, just because it has a light up cube.
I can't find any reviews of the thing from anywhere that sells it. Nothing on Target, Walmart, Amazon, or even Hasbro Toy Shop. Has Hasbro even sold one of the dang things?
If Hasbro was smart they would have priced the Prime at the same $15 as the other figures so people would buy the others. Or sell the cube by itself for $3.99.
But I know Hasbro isn't smart.
I'll never pay $30 for a figure that should be $10 because it has a $1 light up cube in the box.

Another day, another continuity plot hole!

Did anyone else notice how those toys were completely shit?

That Dragonstorm figure is going to be the biggest shelfwarmer! I keep seeing them, and at the crazy high price point they're at? I don't get it.
The movie got low box office views, so why would the average kid/parent pay so much for this toy? Or are the fans supposed to pay out the nose, given how difficult it is to find the Generations/non-1-step version of this guy (which was clearly delayed in favor of this 1-step).
Personally speaking, I think Hasbro had a plan for these toys that did not take into account box office failure. What I mean by that is how the average consumer will ignore this dragon and Hasbro will have already pumped dozens into each and every store. That's just precious TF shelf space that will not receive a proper restock of something that ACTUALLY SELLS.
The Allspark figures on the other hand? Those could work out. Kind of neat for kids… but I don't really see the appeal. I guess it'd be prohibitively expensive, but it'd be interesting if these cubes could be collected for a bigger toy (i.e. Metroplex or Dragonstorm), where the cubes would help light it up or do some other interesting things.

Is it just me, or did the allspark tech subline come out of nowhere? Was I just being ignorant?

I love how these commericals manage perfectly acceptable transformations for Aoe-post Prime but even the movie didn't bother. And there was a really decent amount of transformations in TLK too. All it needed was not to cut to a new shot after that driving escape and just SHOW him change.
I'm not as hard on TLK as others, I've only seen it once and I did enjoy myself. But that's the one thing that stood out to me and actually made me a little annoyed.

all got at least one "featuring" transformation. But Optimus Prime only has the story opportunity to transform once and has a pretty killer rescue scene in truck mode and just, it's all fucked by him transforming offscreen
IDK about you but that's some ass to me.

Back in my day putting the allspark in your chest just killed you.
