Via Action and Adventure: The Hasbro Universe Podcast we have a First Strike Primer Podcast.
First Strike is the next IDW Crossover which involves all Hasbro titles: Transformers, G.I. Joe, Micronauts, Rom, M.A.S.K and more. This podcast is ideal for you if you need to refresh your memory from previous titles or if you are a new reader.
“First Strike, comes out this Wednesday! In order to get you ready, Daniel and Callum review the last year’s worth of events from each of the titles that will be involved in the upcoming event. Whether you’re a hardcore reader, one-franchise-fan, or a newbie looking to see what’s coming up, this is the podcast for you!”.
You can listen or down load the podcast here and then click on the bar to join to the discussion at the 2005 Boards.

I didn't enjoy Revolution. It had some neat moments, but that was about it.
WilyMech
I guess reporters are the same in both worlds.
Black Convoy
Thanks for sharing!

Jalaguy
The presenter is a character who was in older IDW G.I. Joe stories, in which Hashtag was her Joe codename.
It was a cringey codename, but is just plain bizarre as a news show name, yeah.
Heliblade
I\'m kinda looking forward to seeing GI Joe in this crossover, because I have the feeling that they\'re gonna get treated like shit on Cybertron.
Argentenoboy
Are we going to just ignore the fact that Hashtag is the worst name for a news show I've ever seen. Earth should have been kicked out of the council of worlds just for that alone.
Megastar
The TF's really brought all of that on themselves, even this attack is caused by the fear of TFs possibly destroying Earth.
Hans
Thanks, yes, I know. I was looking for a good jumping off point because I haven't liked the series for a while now. Story just doesn't interest me anymore… GI Joe being a constant presence, all those characters are annoying imo.
And the storythreads still unresolved I consider not important at all. So I'm glad I can quit at this point
Jalaguy
You realise that OP is continuing as normal during First Strike, right?
The Earth-based storylines, like Jazz being on the run, the stuff with the colonist soldiers, etc., are all carrying on unaffected by First Strike – the only real effect on the book is that Arcee, Optimus and Soundwave won't appear for a few issues.
Avon
Ha, that's amusing!
fishpop
Windblade is up and about.
But who is in control?
Hans
The Sideswipe issue from the Optimus Prime series finally did not end with a "to be continued", and most storythreads were wrapped up at that point (not bothered about the remaining ones). I've decided that was a perfect jumping off point. Just in time to avoid this. Now that TAAO is ending, only Lost Light remains for me. Hopefully that series remains crossover free…
Jalaguy
Yup. He's actually had that body for, like, eight months now, but we didn't find out it was actually an upcoming toy until SDCC!
Avon
I\'m not up to date with recent issues, so it may have happened already, but looks loke starscream is in his potp body.
Thundershot
Yup!
onefromthedark
iam done with g.i.joe as well. scarlet face in that first panel just makes me pissed. there a real wet blanket in this universe.
Hyoumaru
Oh GI Joe
why can\'t you just go away?
