Once again, Artist Josh Nizzi gives a new piece of concept art for Transformers: The Last Knight via his Instagram account.
This time we have a The Last Knight Barricade Concept Art which has a very interesting detail. This model uses a head very similar to the original design of Barricade in the 2007 movie.
Would you have prefer this design for TLK or not? You can check the picture after the jump and then sound off at the 2005 Boards.

It's good and all, even better if they gave him a damaged face like Megatron in DOTM.
The Bucket Kitten
Well I must be a oddball, cause I prefer the head he had in the film over the original one. Plus, the original head looks out of place on his TLK body.
Wild Eevee
Barricade must have spent the last ten years working out since he\'s a bit beefyer then before.
Deadend
Since Megatron was looking for the staff at the start of his first appearance. Quintessa had apparently reached out to him prior to the film. He could have only known about the staff from her.
So it's heavily implied by that story point from Megatron's first words in the movie, that Quintessa had reformatted them. Wasn't blatantly spoon fed to us, but it was there by sequence of events and dialogue by who knew what or was looking for what and when. That was before Prime reached cybertron, so Quintessa was working with Megatron before she even spoke to Prime about it.
Moy
Maybe, but Barricade (not including Megatron) had the newest look in tf5.
Next time I watch thr movie I'm going to try and catch all the details when he transforms.
Grimlock_13
I didn't even notice the necklace until you pointed it out. Yeah, that's pretty dumb too.
Timothy.R
I totally agree, those and the necklace are really stupid looking to me.
I Am James
You mean they could\'ve made Barricade actually Barricade? Grrr!!!
Nitro Zeus
The same could be said for Hound. And Drift. And Boss/Nitro. And Crosshairs. And Bumblebee. And Galvatron/Megatron. The only explanation for the latter is that Quintessa reformatted him into a more righteous design when he applied to help her under the circumstance that Nemesis failed. Bumblebee also has his addiction to being at least one new Camaro every movie.
Moy
Okay.
I suppose what really irked me was the lack of any story in the film explaining his new look.
MegaDolrailer
This is the perfect design for him. While Nizzi's initial concept was more true to the original, the face looks all mutated and horrifying, more so than the original that is.
BarricadeLives
barricade was a perfect metaphor for tf5…yes he was in the film but it wasn't really him..didnt sound like him..didnt look like him…yes tlk was a transformers film…didnt sound like one..didnt look like one!
Nitro Zeus
The 'mask' wasn't used to my knowledge, but if it was, it had the red and blue eyes.
Moy
True. His concept looks nothing like his face in tf5, unless it is, and it was a mask?
I don't know honestly, and I think these two were made before the final design was done.
Does anyone remember if his mask made it to the film? I've seen it twice but can't remember.
I wish there was an official image of his tf5 face, so all I could post is this image from the trailer.
But I like that it still retained some qualities from his old self.
What I found unique about him too was his red and blue eyes. That was funny and cool.
Nitro Zeus
I like the look of him with the MV1/3 head, but I also really liked the blue/red eyes that he had which reflected his sirens. It was a neat effect. However, I either think that he should've had the TLK head (in-movie, not the concept) or this head with the different eyes. Them being shot out in DotM seems like it would be an issue enough to replace them, while this concept shows them as red as ever. But that's expecting continuity from these movies. I'm surprised that the design we got-like it or hate it-seems to make sense, even to some degree.
Autobot Burnout
There's the head we should have gotten.
Haywired
The fun part is that it's just his first TLK design, the one the toy was made of… Except with his first movie head instead of what was on the TLK initial draft.
And it looks thousands times better than what was in the movie.
Gronkh
Now this looks way much cooler than the actual movie version.
Grimlock_13
Ugh that's so much better.
I still think it's dumb having "protect" and "serve" on the knuckles though.
Carcascan
Meh… I'd probably dig this design before the movie came out, but after seeing it on screen with that new actual face I prefer the current design. The head on this one just feel a bit forced, it doesn't really match with the body imo.
