Tokyo Wonderfest was held a few hours ago. While it was not full of astonishing reveals, the event showed some very impressive Transformers Dioramas.
One of the dioramas used Takara Legends toys in a face to face battle with Autobots and Decepticons, including the big guys Fortress Maximus and Trypticon, and it gave us a clear look at the Japanese releases of TR Hot Rod and Kup and other characters that will hit Japan stores.
The movieverse had some very impressive recreations of several key scenes from the live-action movies like the grear Autobots vs Brawl battle and Jazz’s death from the 2007 film, the impressive clash on top of the pyramid and the “give me your face” scene from ROTF, the last stand of Shockwave and Soundwave from DOTM, and the Dinobot race over the city from AOE. All of the dioramas featured figures in stands, with extra custom details and great explosion effects.
Thanks to our 2005 Boards members Masabon and Kafuka Fuura for sharing the first pictures on our forums, and Type-R for collecting other great pictures from several other users on Twitter.

blue text = sarcasm, man, sarcasm.
What I am trying to say was that the Live Action Movie Autobots are just as violent and the Decepticons, perhaps even more so!

Wasn't broken bro.
I expect the Decepticons to be violent…

there, fixed…

Geepers the Autobots are violent. Incredible Displays.

Amazing. Wish they had backdrops for the LG stuff on display too, but they do look awesome on their own as well, standing off as factions against one another.
For some reason, all of this gives me FAO Schwartz flashbacks. There used to be one around here that closed years ago, but as a kid they had these ENORMOUS dioramas of Lego kits. Huge cities, water for the boats, trains that ran, etc. It was amazing.
That store was where I got my last Transformer as a kid too – maybe that's why it's triggering the memory lol.

Awesome work, but the movie stuff…. meh. Not to fault the artists here, the toys and designs still look terrible. Just a mess of overly complex spider bots.
Scenes of Optimus ripping hearts out…. hmmm… yeah, that sounds like TFs.

Holy crap I wish I had that much money and time.

That ROTF scene with OP ripping out and crushing The Fallens spark is so epic! Excellent job on the ROTF OP flight scene. AOE scene with dinobots rocks!

The plain painted Grimlock and Strafe look so much better than the decos that the actual figures have. Makes the dino modes, especially Grimlock's, look like a unified whole rather than big blocks of different colours, even if they're not the colours they have on screen. Though Grimlock also looks modified from the original voyager.

I always love seeing transformers Dioramas. I would dig a titans return one.

I do love me some dioramas. That part with The Fallen getting murdered by Optimus looks fantastic, especially, and I love how they recreated scenes from the movies.
They look pretty much the same to me. It could be just you or it could be the lighting at Wonderfest. There are lots of factors for why it might look slightly different.

I dunno if it's my monitor or the lighting, but those pics of Kup look a lot blue-er than the last pics that I remember. The greenish ones, not the grey ones.

I like these displays, but my onlyl question: Where is the enemy Scrotum?????? Y Devy no have that?
Starscream Gaga
Exactly the same.
Raiyuki
Did they put a blowtorch to a The Fallen figure for that give me your face recreation? That's dedication right there

The angle of Megatron & Astrotrain in this shot remind me of that G1 Megatron/Skywarp crossup concept.
