We’d previously reported that the new Titans Return Trypticon had appeared in Think Geek outlets, and we are now able to confirm that the robot who eats Titan Masters for breakfast is roaring into mass retail stores. TFW2005 member Son of Jor-El reports finding the mammoth Decepticon in a Toys R Us in Orland Park, Illinois.
Happy hunting, everyone!

Whatever the reason, I ordered one at $69.99 the first day of the sale, and it arrived in pristine packaging, despite being classed by BBTS as sub-standard. The toy inside is perfect and free of any hip-ratchet issues.

Because the channel is stuffed. In some areas, like mine, retailers are choosing not to offer products, gambling that barren shelves will provide a better return. In other areas, customers may have access but are choosing to wait for clearance/Ollies. Put together, that's alot of unsold inventory and it has to go somewhere. Personally, I hope we're in the midst of an independent retailer revolt against Hasbro. Wholesale prices are way too high for stuff that they'll ship way too late and you'll eventually have to give away.
Seriously. Make up a sales tax number and sign up with any distributor. May as well buy your stock at Walmart for all of the difference it makes.

Does anyone know why they are getting them again? Was there a second production run?

I saw this, and for some sad reason, I immediately thought: "Wait, what's wrong with their shipment of Trypticons?"

BBTS taking preorders for TR Trypticon @ $69.99 + shipping.
Transformers Titans Return Titan Trypticon

I found Trypticon in the Exton, PA TRU. (They also had 1 Cybertron/Primus, a Leader TLK Megatron, and a Velocitron set.)
A few others in the SE PA area have gotten a few, but scalpers are already claiming them.
Megatronus
Can anyone who's bought/found him post Trypticon's TRU item number?
Skywarp_TPK
Awesome news! Now I just have to hope that the horribly stocked TRU here carries him.
Gaia Saber
Please report if they fixed the hips
CrimsonMagnus

I just got my trypticon from TRU here in Phoenix, used some coupons and got the price down to about $100.

If you ACTUALLY LOOK at the receipt, you can see that there is a $5 discount for the TF sale and a $14.50 for thursday 10% off. The total discount is $19.50, but the total price of a a $145 figure ends up $46.45. I don't think there aren't any rewards points used. The receipt is too blurry for me to read anything else. I think maybe he returned some items that day, but if not, I want to know what the trick is, so I can get Trypticon for cheaps.

Ok guys – aside from the knee issue – is this figure worth 150 dollars right off the bat ?
I held out for Metroplex to come down in price and was able to snag him for 75 dollars.
Then again, I held out for MP Soundwave to come down and never saw him again…

Meanwhile, TLK can't even get past wave 1.
Omegax80
You can make out discounts on the receipt.
Thursdays you can get 10% off using the TRU Credit Card, plus it looks like he had rewards stocked up.
SG Unicron
Can he or you tell us how he managed to pay 45 bucks for him?
Mirage232
I wonder how long it will take for these to show up in the New York area…
