Transformers The Last Knight is already in theaters, but the promotion in Asia is still going strong and with incredibles displays and events. Thanks to 2005 Boards user pie125 we have a video of Transformers: The Last Knight Madness Event In Hong Kong.
The event is full of merchadising and toys. Thanks to fellow 2005 boards member Nevermore, we could identify:
– Voyager Hound and Megatron
– Deluxe Hot Rod (Walmart exclusive in the US, general retail in Asia)
– Leader Optimus Prime and Megatron
– Planet Cybertron (Toys”R”Us exclusive)
– Autobot Sqweeks RC
– MPM-3 Bumblebee
– Also Titans Return Siege on Cybertron (BBTS exclusive in the US, general retail in Asia)
If you attended the event, you would have a chance to buy the Exclusive Premier Edition Battle Damage Optimus Prime, Bumblebee or Barricade. Thanks to user griffin-of-oz, we have some nice pictures of these figures.
You can check a video of the event below, and then click on the bar to check some key pictures and then sound off at the 2005 Boards!

Just take your toys to a pre-k school or kindergarden. Leave it with them for a day or two, pick them up and rub some dirt into them. Then voila! Instant battle damaged figure. Save you a ton of money.
Raiju
Probably eBay. They appear to be Hasbro Asia promotional exclusives and limited to those customers who buy a certain amount of TF merchandise in person at these participating store locations. Expect to pay a pretty penny for these figures on the aftermarket.

The wall of unsold Mr Potato Head Optimus Primes (from 2007!) reminds me of something similar i saw during the AOE toy launch here.
Except my store wasn't giving them away for free.

Are there other places to get the battle damage figures? I want to buy them but cannot find them.

Yea, it's embarrassing. TRU looks just about the same but with wave 1 TR deluxes.

That setup almost looks IDENTICAL to the walmart I went to over here in the west.
Crippling Depression.

"It started with a VIP screening of the movie in 3D at a nearby cinema (the one used for the AoE world premiere in 2014) followed by exclusive access to the store to get toys released for the event."
Yea,,sounds OK I guess….., went and saw the movie in standard and hit walmart afterwords…….wahoo!View attachment 27753472

Oh, I see that is a battle damage Barricade… wondered about the different colored gatling gun.
First I was wondering if it was Voyager, the Voyager OP box is almost the same size as the deluxe box.

For those that don\'t believe that China isn\'t the main audience for the Michael Bay films, here is your proof.
Personally, as I couldn\'t give a monkey\'s bum-hole about the films, I am not upset about these exclusives being in China/Hong Kong. However, if I was, all that is seemingly different for the exclusives is some brown paint, hastily/thickly applied to three figures (and not that well, from the description above). If anyone really wants this look, just buy the regular versions and add some spray painted brown paint and/or ink/thinned-down paint and give it a \"wash\". You could even just \"drybrush\" some brown paint over the toys and get the same result.
The only thing I would be interested in are the stands, and I suspect you\'ll be able to get those at retai easily, at least online.

I scored a Battle Damaged Barricade last friday the morning they went up. Sadly the other 2 sold fast. And who would have thought seeing a Toy's R Us event would make me hate America? I wish I could live out there!

What\'s the story on that statue? That is very detailed and large.
Daimao
fug. America really got the short end of the stick with this movie line.

No wonder RK had some in stock for 5 seconds. SOMEONE SELL ME THESE BATTLE DAMAGED THINGS!!!

Can anyone help me and my friend get these battle damage movie exclusives, please?

The Battle Damage Bumblebee just look so cool

The Asia exclusive Battle Damaged Movie toys – Optimus, Barricade and Bumblebee – acquired from the Hong Kong Madness Event last Thursday night,
which wouldn't have been possible without the help of fellow fan Bladestorm.
At the event there were 50 Optimus toys (free with minimum purchase), 100 Bumblebee toys (free with minimum purchase), and 100 Barricade toys (one for each pair of VIP passes at the event). This was in addition to the 300 Barricade toys that were free with minimum purchases at ToysRUs stores since April 28th, making it 400 in total.
The sprayed on paint makes the toys feel a little rough to the touch.
I think the "damage" looks better in their vehicle modes, but it is their robot modes in the movies that were always worn, despite the car panels
suddenly being spotless when they transform into vehicles.
.
(included here is one photo of the regular versions… I forgot to do a comparison photo before transforming the toys to vehicle mode, and didn't
have time to transform them back yet)

The other freebies at the event…
Purchases were put into these really nice paper bags.
These were the plastic folders given with each purchase (the two on the ends, not the middle one).
The figure stand with any purchase made with a Star Card (like the VIP card in Australia). Bladestorm lent me her card, to get six of the figure stands.
The card holders.
All of the Battle Damaged toys ready to be picked up – 100 each of Bumblebee and Barricade, and 50 of Optimus… and lots of Potato Heads (free with each purchase).
There were three lots of prize packs…
– 8 Deluxe packs (a selection of Deluxe Movie toys and some others, worth at least HK$2000).
– 6 Voyager packs (a selection of Voyager Movie toys and some others, worth at least HK$3000)
– 3 Leader packs (a black chrome Optimus helmet and some other toys, worth at least HK$4000)
(plus some special prizes given out the crowd, to people who were first to show a particular toy, if they had bought one)
One of the Voyager Prize packs…
My Haul from the night…
The items on the left against the bed-board are the unwanted items or items bought for other people back home.
More photos from the event can be seen here.

Here are some videos I took of the TST store just prior to the event.
Here is a video I took of Toys'R'Us Tsim Sha Tsui (Harbour City) – Transformers The Last Knight toys display currently happening at the front of their store.
And another video showing one of the walls of toys.
And for those who haven't seen it – a video of the Optimus Prime statue currently in store.
I was at the madness event and while a little low key than what I was expecting it was still a fun night.
It started with a VIP screening of the movie in 3D at a nearby cinema (the one used for the AoE world premiere in 2014) followed by exclusive access to the store to get toys released for the event.
Based on a certain spend you could also get a Battle Damaged Optimus Prime (50 available) or Battle Damaged Bumblebee (100 available) and Battle Damaged Barricade for those who had an exclusive letter (must have spent HK$1200 on Transformers toys in one receipt during the claimable period).
They also gave out free Optimash Primes (the Mr Potato Head Transformer), Transformers stands, plastic folders, and card holder lanyards.
There was also a prize draw. Every HK$500 spent on the night gave one entry form for the draw.
Major prize was the Gunmetal black "Nemesis Prime" voice changer helmet. The guys who won those refused to tell us what their unique numbers were though.
Other prizes included complete sets of voyager toys, remote controlled sqweeks, Hot Toys Optimus Prime (Megatron Version), SDCC Fort Max and SDCC Devastator (I won that one!) and a few others I'm probably forgetting.
Toys released on the night were Leader Optimus, Leader Megatron, Deluxe Hot Rod, Remote Controlled Sqweeks, Seige on Cybertron boxed set, Masterpiece Movie Bumblebee. Figures like Cybertron Planet and Legion Hot Rod had been available several days prior to the event.
