TFNation 2017 have announced one of the extra-special events on their event program for their 2017 show. At TFNation 2017 fans will be able to enjoy far more than Transformers – you’ll also be able to learn about Takara’s other super robot lifeform series. That’s right, TFNation 2017 is bringing the love to the Brave Series!
Yusha, or Brave, is a series of eight shows and toylines that Takara released in Japan between 1990 and 1997, bridging the large gap left when Transformers largely disappeared from Japanese airwaves and toy shelves. The Brave Series shows were produced by Sunrise, known for their work on Mobile Suit Gundam, and were accompanied by some extremely fun transforming robot toys in the vein of later Generation 1 toys, such as Star Saber or Powermaster Optimus Prime.
To introduce fans to the world of the Brave Series, TFNation will be presenting a panel on 11 August 2017. Hosted by our own Sol Fury and long-time Brave fans Timey Wimey and CZ Hazard, the panel will introduce TFNation’s attendees to the background of Brave, its connections with Transformers, some of the lore, and of course, the toys! Moreso, TFNation will also be hosting the largest display of DX Brave toys compiled, so you can check out these great robot toys in person!
TFNation 2017 will be taking place over the weekend of August 11 – 13, 2017, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole in Birmingham in the UK. Guests will include voice actors Venus Terzo (Beast Wars Blackarachnia), Hal Rayle (Generation 1 Snarl and Shrapnel), and Maggie Roswell (Maude Flanders), Transformers creators and writers Bob Budiansky and Simon Furman, fan-favourite writer James Roberts, writer & artist Nick Roche, artists Stephen Baskerville, Alex Milne, Jack Lawrence, Kei Zama, and Sara Pitre-Durocher, and last but not least, colourists Josh Perez and John-Paul Bove. Check out the TFNation homepage for more information.
SG Roadbuster
Car Robots/RID does have a lot of Brave Influence to it
Fire Convoy is basically Duke Fire.
Rail Racer/JRX calls to mind the numerous train based brave such as Might Gaine and the Bombers
Landfill/Build King is an almost 1-for-1 translation of Build Tiger
Gigatron and his Destrongers rep the weird biomechanical alien villains pretty close

As a prime among the yuusha braves i think he wpuld look a good bit like this
A sort of hybrid transformers prime season 3 beast hunters optimus prime merged with car robots in disguise omega prime hybrid design
Throw in super god ginrai burning justice .Super robot hero bit and you
Come mighty close to having a optimus prime among the yuusha braves FOLKS
redwolfbear
And cybertron galaxy force too
Michael Payton
It would look like Fire Convoy. Victory and Car Robots are effectively bookends to the Brave style of Super Robot anime. Car Robots followed all of the Brave tropes that Victory started.

Question
What would optimus prime look like as a character and what would he be like if he had originated from the yuusha braves as a character
A natural born prime born and raised among them for all intents
TF@TM
It went very well from all accounts. Brave did make a recent comeback in Japan with some Mandrake stores holding a two or three day "Brave special" last month
Lunamaria

brave command dagwon struck me as being a braves series counterpart to transformers super god masterforce in its way

I grew up with the Brave Series in the early 90s.
It was Takara's spiritual successor to Japanese Transformers(Masterforce, Victory etc). The main difference is that they were only to sell toys of the good guys and the villains have no sense of character at all as they are all monsters of the week except for one anti hero handsome black robot who does a heel face turn in the final battle. It was also aimed at primary school kids and the main robot was meant to be a brother/father figure to the primary school kid protagonist.
There were also tear jerking moments of robo saviour dying/going gray.
So in short, they were 70/80s monster of the week super robots X transformers.

me an d m ybros are raising the nephews in our family up right on the braves mythos folks least its the lighter side of things as super robot heroes go , the nephews stil lbe kids right now and they love that stuff cant get enough of it and transformers and voltron and saber rider and the star sherrifs.
we gonna wait till they be a bit older say aroudn 11 o so before we get around to introducing them to the more heavy hitting side of the super robot genere when it comes to getter robo mazinger and gurren lagann lol
AnnoyedRobot
Huh… I would have guessed merely a double digit resolution.
Gangu Stars
Probably would have been like 320×240. So, small. But big enough to get an idea of the action.
redwolfbear
shit man i swear , as anime goes that yuusha braves stuff is literally worth its weight in gold to us rabid fan types lol
google it people do a word search on whatever series it is you looking for on line with the words english subtitles and the name of whatever yuusha brave anime it is you be looking for . it may take a day of looking through a google word search but its usually worth it . you never know you might even find some good deals while your at it too
AnnoyedRobot
What resolution are we talking about here?
redwolfbear
a final battle to the death betwen optimus prime and megatron from transformers cybertron and the fight is a homage to brave exkaisers final battle with dinoquist to boot
redwolfbear
