We previously reported this special black redeco of TR Optimus Prime, and now we have some extra details and the confirmation that this Special Edition Primitive Skateboarding Optimus Prime will be a San Diego Comicon Exclusive.
Hyperbeast.com shared clear pictures in both modes and packaging and information about this release:
“Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters June 21, and fanatics can celebrate the movie with a new Optimus Prime action figure. The autobot figurine was partially designed by Primitive Skateboarding founder Paul Rodriguez, and features some updates to the character’s traditional red and blue paint job. This Prime belongs to the Titans Return Powermaster reprise and is decorated in black and gold — a nod to Primitive’s signature colors. The toy figurine also comes with a ramp, rail, and hoverboard, so it can “Shreddicus Maximus” whenever he’s not battling the Decepticons.
Hasbro plans to premiere and sell the Primitive-Transformer for $50 USD at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 20. Leftovers will be available on Hasbro’s online site after the convention”.

Great review. Was wondering if you'd answer a quick question. Just bought one of these seemingly new and don't want to go rifling through it to find out: where did they hide the instruction manual for this?
Atomatron
thankfully my seller was/is a scammer and i got my money back. US seller "shipped" with arrival in September! wtf. i called BS and they caved
ACMagnus
So the ramps have pegs and the rail is long enough for those pegs to go into his base mode, making his base mode a skate park. He officially has the best base mode of the TR line. View attachment 27772161

Its more than just the chest piece. Takara's arms have a peg hole, and the hands slide out, Hasbro's don't. And the feet are completely different.
SoundwaveSuperior
The piece isn't removed on the Takara version, it's entirely remolded, so just taking it off wouldn't really work. Besides, the arms and legs still couldn't connect.
Atomatron
cant i just remove that chest piece thing?
Atomatron
ugh fml i had no idea thought it was just a nicer paint app etc from Takara

It seems like he Atomatron would care, since he seems to be buying God Bomber with the intention of combining the two figures. (Also, it seems odd to say that I'm "full of it," then say "who cares?" as if you acknowledge that my statement was true?)

There's the American version which is used for the toy offcially called "Powermaster Optimus Prime". That one was redecoced as the black SDCC one. Takara retooled it as "Super Ginrai" and it can combine with Godbomber. Hasbro released Super Ginrai in a box set using the name "Magnus Prime". Only rhe Japanese mold works with Godbomber.
Fenrys
God bomber combines with takaras super Ginrai version of the mold, it's different. The primitive skateboarding powermaster Optimus is a repaint of hasbros powermaster Optimus prime which is not compatible with godbomber due to having different feet, arms and chest
GAUGE
you know…that you full of it right? and also, who cares?
Atomatron
theres only one version of this mold?
SoundwaveSuperior
You know that this isn't the version of the mold that can combine with God Bomber, right?
Atomatron
gaaahhh still waiting on on ebay preorder to confirm they acquired this. i have a god bomber ready and waiting to be painted!
Kencha6
