And, more importantly, of age!

Why are we talking about a young teenaged girl? We should be talking about Laura Haddock. She\'s hot.

Obviously i am not trying to look at those aspects, but it's a poster. The idea is your eyes are drawn to three areas of the poster where they normally put the title; top, middle, bottom. It was not something i was looking for or wanting to see, however it was something i noticed.
I am not squeemish over it – though i do find that they selected this image a little 'iffy' in regards to the fact someone selected this image specifically (coupled with all the facts below)
Read my post, all i have done is acknowledge the factual aspects of the poster;
– Same pose as Mikaela in TF2007 and ROTF during the car and motorbike scene respectively
– Skimpy clothes and emphasis on those parts of the body
– Actresses age at the time of filming and currently
– Creator of the poster has intentionally changed the focus of the surrounding of the image while leaving the focus clear on the face and chest
– Is the only poster given an 'action pose'
– Is the only character who the female audience are supposed to relate to
You dont need help for acknowledging what that person has done and i am not stupid for speaking the facts – the only aspect you can try and debate whether it was intentional, but the facts speak for themself.
I've just become accustomed to noticing the sexualisation of the characters that Bay has filmed, especially after reading some of the reports by these actors about the way they were interviewed. My main concern with this sort of poster is that all the young TF fans who saw the 'fight like a girl' trailer will be encouraged that this character should be the role model. Though i understand that because of the culture nowadays people are not as suprised or concerned about people wearing revealing clothing at a young age or portrayed in sexualised ways.
I suppose the main problem is that the pose is exactly the same as Mikaela in TF2007 and ROTF and that was why it stood out to me, i suppose re-watching Transformers 2007 just made it more noticeable to me coupled with the fact that someone specifically selected that image out of all the images they had and that she was the only one in an action pose.
I appreciate that someone else noticed the photo's nature.
Hopefully we dont have anything risque in this movie, though considering last movie had the 'Romeo & Juliet clause' coupled with a tentacled alien trying to get Tessa – i'm a little concerned about what might happen.
Depends; It could be a case where the designer of the poster did not notice what they were doing, but i doubt it given the facts about the poster listed above. Either way, i think they could have picked a better image – i believe we even have a few shots of her in a similar outfit in the trailer which they could have used.
Given the rest of the posters used here where they lack action poses, they probably should have used this image instead;

As someone who studies art and photographic composition. I have to agree with you.
Laura Haddock is the designated Hot girl/love interest, but the stance they chose for her is much more neutral.
REALLY hoping bay didn't sneak anything risque into this movie, but you never know.

Izzy looks sooooo pretty Im interested in her role in the film

It'd be really nice to have a thread about this movie that doesn't have creepy comments about a teenage girl. Probably asking too much from this forum.

I don't know mate, I mean I get the concern, but when I looked at the picture I thought she just looked cool. It's an action pose, not a flirty one. With her mask, googles and scraggly clothes and hair, I thought she has a kind of anime charm to her. Also, teenage girls have cleavages, no way around it
I still have my fingers crossed that Bay won't exploit her in the way you're inferring, i mean i really couldn't say at this point, but so far Bay hasn't "sexualised" her anymore than she does by herself.
You lose because insult.

Agreed. She looks like she's about to throw down!

Izzy looks bad ass in that picture. If anyone's sexualizng her, its you.

Really? How did you come to that thought? The only reason that came into my mind is because of this post.
Hotrod94573
I don't think that was the point of the pose…

Could have done without the 15 year old girl (13 at the time of filming) being in the same pose that Megan Fox was in when bending over the car and motorbike – coupled with it intentionally being designed to show more of her clevage.
It's rather disgusting how sexualised that image of her is. She's a child, and yet she's been put into the typical 'curved body' pose that emphasises the butt and breasts. It's especially obvious they intentionally did this because she is the only one who is not standing straight and efforts were clearly made to emphasise these aspects with the addition of a 'focus' effect not used on any of the other pictures.
It's things like this which make people think that Bay or those involved with Transformers are perverted.
