You may remember that we front paged a news item last week regarding a possible new Theatrical Trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight. Titled as “Trailer L“, the rated trailer is now available on official Social Media channels for the movie.
This new trailer contains quite a lot of new footage which is being discussed on our movie sub-forum as we speak.
Check out the video, below:

Didn't Megs have his Spark melted and head ripped off while an axe put through it? And Lockdown working for the "creators" might very well have had other tricks and gadgets from them. Maybe even something to prevent him from dieing. I mean any bounty hunter that is brave enough to go and hunt down the Knights of Cybertron as well as big ass Dionbot Knights, has to have ways to stay alive lol. I can only imagine how many mercs he lost trying to capture the Dionbots lol.
tonyformer
Well the ship did belong to the Knights so the Dinobots being Knights should easily be able to use it. And the ship would recognize them anyway.
SunSwipe5
Didn't his head get sliced in two and the rest of him blown up? Not that I wouldn't mind having him back.
SunSwipe5
If he doesn't try to eat the damn thing, that would be freaking awesome and all kinds of hysterical
tonyformer
Or… somehow Lockdown is alive again?
tonyformer
What if Grimlock has the knight Ship
SunSwipe5
You know, I wonder if the Bots use the Knights Ship to get a team up to where the Quintbitch is, to take her scaly aft out.
They did manage to board the Knight Ship when it was under Lockdown's control. I could see Crosshairs, Drift and maybe Roddy infiltrating her ship/planet and sabotaging it. Maybe to avoid being destroyed aboard her ship/planet, she's forced to flee to Earth where Optimus and/or Bee finishes her off or Dragonstorm disintegrates her aft.
I would think that in order to stop that planet thing and her army of Infernicons, they would first have to kill her. They would not only be cutting off the head of the snake, but incinerating the crap out of it,too.
Then perhaps retrieve the hidden seed and use it to create a new Cybertron, away from Earth.

It was meant as a joke (film "Tokyo Drift"), and I was talking about the night time shot of skyscrapers, and pieces of Cybertron floating overhead … I was guessing, but probably wrong.
tonyformer
What? Tokyo where? You mean we seen China right? Or was that a joke?

Of fucking course HELL NO! He always screws up the story at the expense of visuals! If he delivers what I'm waiting to see then I might change my mind.

Aside from Drift, I dont think the designs have been "simplified" all that much. Hound is on par with Ironhide IMO. The KSI drones all had quite a bit of detail and moving parts. Hot Rod is certainly in the same aesthetic as TF1-DotM. Crosshairs actually has a pretty complex model, his weird color scheme hust hides it.
Optimus, I guess you could say, has a simplified design, although it is still pretty complex, just minus any truck kibble(I personally prefer his prior design).
In other business though, I hope they tie Bumblebee in WW2 to the original trilogy by having one of the Witwickys be a G1 he flew over to keep protect, and decided to go on a mission with Hot Rod because he was there.
G1DeadEnd
Well in the trailers and spots, we've seen Tokyo, but no Drift.
SunSwipe5
His absence from the trailers and clips could mean one of two things:
He has a lesser role than the other Bots
OR
He has a larger role that they're trying to keep under wraps
At this point, it's anyone's guess. I just have a sneaking suspicion he plays an unexpected role in this movie.
Edwardmus Prime
I personally would be happy if Drift did play an unexpectedly large role. He got a few good lines in the last film but not enough to stand out as much as the other new guys, plus there is the fact that he is played by Ken Watanabe…
All I see with his absence from the trailers is absence from the movie, however. It wouldn't make sense for him to have a big role when he is seen in none of the clips involving the story. Isn't there in Hot Rod's introduction, the fight scenes with Bumblebee or the Knights, or anything involving be Cade and his quest.
SunSwipe5
Something is definitely up with Drift. On the TLK toy box art, he's prominently shown alongside Bee and Prime.
As far as movie trailers and clips, he's been very noticeably absent. Hound and Crosshairs have been shown. Grimlock has been shown. Hell, we've even seen Wheelie.
We know Drift is with the Bots both stateside and overseas (though, I'd still love to know how they all were able to meet up with Bee and Cade in London).
I have a feeling that Drift may play a bigger role than we think.
tonyformer
Could be. Actually I'd like that.
Edwardmus Prime
Maybe Drift becomes the next Knight/Prime and they're avoiding spoilers?
… I already used that joke, didn't I?
Odds are he and the other bots have been demoted to extras and he will get a two lines at most. The bot cast is far to big now to possibly work everyone in.
96megatron
Maybe he's held up in that Prison Cell and they don't want to spoil it. After he get's broken out. Maybe with Scorn and Strafe. A few others also.
