Fandango and the official IMAX website are now listing advanced tickets across the United States for Transformers: The Last Knight showings on Tuesday, June 20. Currently, only AMC IMAX 3D theaters have tickets available for purchase and all showings are listed as 7 p.m. local time.
An interesting thing to note is that the movie has the tagline “Optimus Prime Time,” which could hint at a possible special treat for those who attend that night.
Stick around TFW2005 for any further developments on what could be going on during the opening night IMAX showings!
UPDATE: Other 3D showings (non-IMAX) have now popped up online and the “Optimus Prime Time” now has a description:
Moviegoers in select cities across the US will have the chance to be the first to experience TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT exclusively in IMAX® 3D and select PLF theatres in RealD 3D. This event offers fans to be the first to see the movie in 3D.

Though I respect your dislike of 3D, I believe you won't be sorry for seeing this movie in 3D — seeing all those giant Cybertron pieces floating in the distance, and getting a grasp of just how big everything is in depth.
There is one TV spot where the three headed dragon (yes I know his name), flies off of the cliff, and flaps his wings, with the closer one almost directly over the viewer's head. I can't wait to see that!

I wanted to purchase a second ticket for a friend on fandango, and I accidentally looked up a theater in another state. It was totally sold out.

TFA is a terrible gauge for thwarted selling out. My local IMAX sold out 7pm, 10pm, and 1am Thursday showings in the first 15 minutes. At the same theater, the Optimus Prime Time showing is still half empty and has been available for weeks.

While I'm not seeing it on the 20th, I did recently purchase my ticket for the 21st. Good thing too because when I purchased my ticket, I saw a seat had already been bought. Meaning that I managed to get in before tickets started to sell out.

I'm seeing it on the the 20th at 8:15. Thought I'd have to wait till the 21st to see it in 2D but there is actually a 2D showing on the 20th! (Not a fan of 3D if you can't tell.)

I just booked mine for the IMAX 3D Event at the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti showing at 7 PM on 6/21. They have reserved seating. However, there were only 2 other tickets reserved thus far which was good for son and I but not so much for pre-sale numbers (at least as of today).
I'm driving about an hour to go see it in IMAX.

I bet that design on the left with the movie font logo and Optimus will be the shirt design!

Yea I called and they are not offering the promo at the cinemark by my house. Bummer

You sure you're looking at the right showing? The Prime Time event at my Cinemark is at 7 PM. The 8:15 showing is just the regular movie without the free merchandise.
Ikkstakk
At 7:00 they start showing the previews. 8:15 is when the actual movie starts
Chillyn
Hmm mm anybody get any ticketa for cinemark? It says you have to go to 7pm showing but there is only 8:15 showing. I'm scared I might get jipped

Weird, mine's still fine. I have been seeing some weird stuff with others though as my preferred theater (REG) didn't have reserved seating but it always does for IMAX showings, and other odd stuff like that. Couldn't hurt to call 'em up and confirm.

What theater brand is it?

I go my Prime Time tickets for the 20th at 7th but now my theater isn't listing it anymore…the hell.

TFA at my theater was sold out 2 hours after the tickets went on sale, but for most movies, your statement holds true lol. I don't think there'll be a full house at mine, but definitely 75%. I have no idea about the theater I am going to though as I've never been.

Same here. By my count about 70 of the seats were taken before I got mine.
Here's to hopefully a fun time among fellow Bayverse fans.

I hope you're right

I was actually surprised how many people bought tickets before me. I'm sure I'll be having a full house at my AMC.
