Paramount Pictures official Weibo account has made a special announcement regarding the release of Transformers: The Last Knight in China.
It seems as though Chinese fans will receive the pleasure to enjoy the movie 5 days earlier than the London Premiere, along with Michael Bay, the cast and the crew.
The event will take place on 13th June at Guangzhou City.
To participate, the fans must write a short essay on their favorite Transformers characters and a set of lucky winners will be selected among the entries.
The announcement also comes with a small trailer featuring Megatron transforming. Check it out via Paramount’s Weibo Page.

Anthony Hopkins isn't famous enough for you?

That singer…agh, he ain't sing any good song, neither was he good at acting, most Chinese fans are pissed when they saw movie company add those stars in the movie. We have so many good actors and actresses in China yet they always choose those ones who are rich.

I'm wondering if there will be any U.K. Celebrities appearing in this?
Age of Extinction Feature a Famous Chinese Boxer and a Singer.

Chinese fans in Guangzhou did see the MPM04,though the hasbro guys didn't manage to transform it correctly.
It's a huge market in China, both for the box office and toys sales.

You'r welcome.

I agree with this. Furthermore, most of the plot points in the current films wouldn't make sense in a brand new universe. I don't want fictional universes to be in an eternal status quo; they NEED to change over time. Most of the demands for reboots are simply because people don't like some changes that have been made. However, the movieverse has changed because it needed to change from what it was. I don't want every film to be the 2007 movie, or ROTF, or DOTM, or AOE, or TLK. The universe has changed since 2007 and ROTF and DOTM, and hopefully the universe changes further still in future movies.

What you consider baggage, other people like. People keep bringing up rebooting it like it's going to fix all of the problems they think the series has, which it most definitely is not a guarantee. Not to mention reboots are failing left and right, people don't seem to like them, especially reboots reboots of recent series.
Autobot Burnout
Whenever I say this, people act like I'm talking heresy.
The truth is that for all the potential there is with Transformers, Paramount's fucked it all up by starting way too late in the continuity. We should have gotten a reboot after DOTM because there's nothing of value from AoE that couldn't have been set up out of the gate with a fresh start all around and no baggage from the previous films.

You can apply a weibo ID and comment below the official paramount weibo as it demand, but its a lottery, so it might be a bit difficult unless you are really lucky.

I want to join them but don't know how

Hey everyone let's do some maths.
So AOE overall grossed $110405072.
According to Box Office Mojo, $320,000,000 was grossed in China.
$110405072 – $320, 000, 000 = $784054072
Overall, that's still way more successful than the first movie and still enough money to break even with.

I brought up Disney and a Reboot. That doesn't make me a hater lol. But in all honesty, I think the live action TFs movies are due for a total reboot. Lots of people are just getting tired of every movie having to be a we got to fix this or that to try and make it all work, type of movie. This franchise REALLY needs to be cohesive and laid out from the start. The movies do a horrible job of bringing on quality villains ansnor even keeping them around longer than a movie.
Too many main characters have been killed off just for the sake of killing someone off and or "this is my last movie" so I'll kill off all the Cons, approach (DOTM). Characters like The Fallen and even Lockdown should have had longer archs and not been killed. Way too much slapstick not needed humor and way too much long drawn out human character plot that just was not needed.

When did this Disney idea materialise?? Who says paramount is going to bomb? Who gave any inkling that the movie will bomb? The company still pays its staff and bills, even if it makes a loss of profit, just because a company doesn't rake it in all the time doesn't mean it's imploding or needs to sell?? As long as the films hit or get above budget level then alls well, anything else is a bonus…ultimately. That's why they have a budget in the first place, and Bay always comes in under budget.
However there's a certain kind of hate and lack of faith brewing here that really if I'm honest isn't warranted…. and the lot of you really need to find other forums to troll. I honestly cannot think of anything more obsurd and moronic than to continually come to a forum dedicated to the transformers movies, only to speak with fans about how much you hate them all!! I'm at a loss to why IF it causes you so much grief that it's constantly banged on about surely if you dislike it like you're saying then you'd avoid it, and spend time doing something else more enjoyable and productive.
There's finally a new direction for the transformers franchise to follow and because it's different and not what we're used to everyone freaks out….just embrace it for what it is, and get over yourself.
Rant over but you haters haven't got a clue.

People really blow china's contribution to AGE's success out of proportion even without China Age still would've been massively successful with about 800 million dollars. Which is more than all but 4 Marvel films three of which are ensemble team up films. A billion isn't some necessity for success and AOE barely made less than DOTM it still made 1.1 billion dollars about 15 million less than DOTM and that was with a new human cast that unlike fans the public will care about, and only 15 million that's a drop almost no one will care about unless you had a flop. What everyone keeps overlooking is that AOE wasn't all that behind most other movies. CA WS made about 260 million domestically, AOE like 245 million 15 million less, what's the big deal?
This whole China saved AOE is ridiculous even without China it would've been one of the most profitable movies of the year. China isn't keeping TFS alive it's just adding about 250 million to it's gross nothing more, it would have to have to make like 400 million world wide including domestic for China to solely save it, what's the likelihood of that? Also why does China have to be some separate category looked down on their money doesn't matter, why is domestic such a big deal as Lockdown would say America is not the center of the universe.

I thought it was a thread about an ESSAY CONTEST?
Incidentally, here you go:

You can expect something similar internationally (if not higher). Minimum deals? I don't think they'll need to rely on that, truthfully. Still, look at the numbers and you can see the "haters" have a point, too. And by "haters", I mean professional movie critics, TF fans, AND the general public.
But really, don't argue about these things, right? If someone doesn't like the movie, let them rant. Why do you care? I guarantee you that these sporadic rants will have little-to-no-effect on Paramount movie sales.

July is China's protection month for local movie. Maybe Paramount feels need to make a good use of having as many showtimes as possible, because lately movies in China have been very frontloaded due to massive screens lost to newer movies

Your day won't be completed if you movie haters don't spread your hatred in every single thread, don't you? A simple thread about released date and you feel like it need to be filled with your irrelevant opinions.
I heard that Paramount will earn at least 130 millions dollars with TLK from China after making minimum guarantee deal with local studios so you don't need to worry about its profit there

Essay writing. Really? REALLY?
When I think of a big TF fan… yeah, I guess I do think "great essay writer!"
You know what would be better than this (besides ANYTHING)?
