A Transformers: The Last Knight New TV Spot has surfaced on the official Paramount UK Twitter.
There is a little new footage and, as some of our members noticed, it seems that we have some character model changes, and another good look at Dragonstorm. There’s also an announcement in the video: You can book your tickets now, but it seems it is only for UK fans at the moment.
You can check out a good-quality YouTube video of the TV spot via Comicbook.com. Don’t forget to click on the bar and join the discussion on the 2005 Boards.
Lord Ultron
Exactly. The first movie focused its attention on the mystery of the Transformers. They are alien robots, capable of turn into veichles. I can easily say that the first one is the best also for that aspect, not only for the script, but also because it truly shows the nature of these beings in their first contact with the humans in the movie, and also with the audience. Even the fights were very well done because the movements of the robots were slower, because they are giants. That fact changed only when the camera focused on the robots from a great distance, because we don't have the "human perspective", so they appear faster (like when Megatron fights Optimus saying "You still fight for the weak, that is why you lose!!").
The three sequels tried to follow the same technique, but they didn't work. The movements of the robots were faster, made only for the action itself. Only the third movie tried something during the final fight, when the camera took the perspective of a rifle that was shooting to Sentinel., but also triying to create a sensation of "danger".
The fourth tried to give to the robots a better centrality in the shots, but they lose the "spectacularity", the realistic effects that gave to the robots their charm.
This fifth one already gives me a totally different impression. One of my favorite shots from the teaser trailer is the one where Megatron is walking in the battlefield. This shot astonished me, because none of the previous movies used a similar shot. Megatron seems truely powerful and dangerous, a threat that comes from the darkness of a terrible battle.
Also the shot from the third trailer, where Quintessa talks to a chained Optimus, is spectacular. Even if Optimus is in the entire screen, you can still feel how much big he is, as if Quintessa was the "normal one", and not him.
When Bee and Prime are fighting, yes, we have shots focused on Cade, but the big part of the times, Cade is a microbe, compared to the two robots.

I maintain that originally Optimus's movement had more weight too it whereas in AoE he appeared lighter.

Yeah, you can easily track the movement of Transformers in majority of the scenes. I think that it's mainly to pulling back the camera and removing the human presence from the frames. In past films a lot of shots were taken from the human perspective (the first movie most notably) and from a close proximity so that only a part of a Transformer landed in the frame (Optimus and Bonecrusher's fight after collision). One may even say that they started filming Transformers as people.
JoBlo rounded up all TF trailers and the contrast between the first four and the fifth is very noticable.

Looking right at the beginning of this video, I don't think he really runs different. Its just that in that movie 1 scene, they had a lot of shaky camera and dramatic low shots that make him seem heavier, and the AoE scene has it as a far away shot for most of it. You can see right at the very first step in my video that there is still a bit of shaking camera and a bit of the ground coming up.
Lord Ultron
I have to say that these little extended scenes (the Ark destroyed and Dragonstorm flying) seem, on my point of view, something very different, on the visual plane, for the saga.
The same thing could be said regarding the shots of the jets. Bay has always gave to those kind of scenes a "militarist atmosphere", the sensation of a battlefield, but this time, I think he is trying to give more dynamic. For example, the shots where the camera is positioned next to the jet's cabin, and we see the ship above Optimus and Bee are fighting.
And the shots regarding the Knights charging with the humans? Or Merlin riding in the forest? Those are very beatiful shots.
Or Lennox watching Cybertron coming on Earth…. spectacular.
Surely is a better work than the one he did in AoE, and, I have to say, better than the trilogy. The battle between Bumblebee and Optimus is clear, brutal and very emotional. It is a different kind of action, with less explosions and more visual effects.
Surely the work with the writters gave him some new ideas and a better understanding of how he should work.

That emotional shot of Cade is definitely at the end of the movie. Cybertron/Planet`s tentacle things are burning and smoking like a chimney in the background. So I guess we now know who wins this battle between that Planet and Earth.

I've always given props to Aoe to be still this beautifull given the fact that they had to practically start from nothing with every single bot and there was A LOT to do, so is understandable to me, now they have the models for many of them so they can concentrate to fix other problems.

Its hammah time!
BB Shockwave
You have good eyes if you can spot character mode changes— to me BB looked the same since the first movie, really.
Shizuka
That's it! That's exactly it! Something has been nagging at me for ages at the back of my mind and I couldn't understand why but what you said is exactly it. Compare Optimus Running from Sector 7 to how he moved in AoE. In the latter he seems so much lighter and even if he is streamlined in design he still weighs approximately the same as Transformers are supposed to retain the same level of mass even as they change alt modes. In AoE the characters move too smoothly as if they have human joints, not mechanical joints.

Orange sky reminds me of Delhi, which reminds me what the air smells like in Delhi, which ruins the next few hours of my day!
Music
It reminds me of AOE's hideous yellow tint. Honestly, I'm glad they ditched the orange sky.
MV95
I prefer the orange sky.

Except his post preceded yours by a few hours.

Any scene with Galvatron in bot mode. Especially during the final battle.
Unless you were being facetious?
