Update: HD video from the official The Last Knight YouTube Channel
Lord Ultron
Starscream is shown in World War I, but I think that he wasn't on Earth during that period. For know we can only speculate.
The official timeline (from the previous movies and some informations about TLK, plus the IMAX event), for know, says that during the 20s century:
– the AllSpark is discovered in 1913;
– Sector 7 is founded (not a clear date);
– Bulldog fought during World War I;
– Bumblebee and Hot Rod fought Nazis during World War II;
– the Ark landed on the Moon in 1961;
– the lunar landing in 1969;
– Soundwave intervention to hide the Ark;
– Hot Rod turns in a 1963's Citroën DS, and is gave to Vivian Wembley as a gift from her father, with the mission to secretly protect the woman (not a clear date, but surely at the last years before 2000, or the first ones);
We will see in the movie, except for these informations, the rest is a mistery.
Caminus Prime
Something tells me that they're gonna give the story a big twist like starscream manipulating Hitler to slaughter millions of people, including Jews and then kills hitler in the process when bumblebee attacked the Nazi palace they were both at.
Lord Ultron
Well, Bumblebee during War World II isn't a wrong idea, in fact it is confirmed. Maybe, he found out some Decepticons, so he allied himself with the americans, or something similar. We don't know so much.
Caminus Prime
Neither is bumblebee/starscreams involvement with fighting\helping the Nazis when they should've focused on finding the allspark. After seeing it already That would be a big troll on the writers part, I do believe they're on to something
Lord Ultron
Sincerly, I don't think that all that stuff will be in the movie. It doesn't make any sense. It is a total contradiction to what we have seen in the past.
Caminus Prime
We did see ironhide, starscream and shockwave, so why not?
Lord Ultron
I don't think it's Ratchet. It is too distant and, sincerly, why it would show Ratchet?
Caminus Prime
Yes
Lord Ultron
Do you intend the one on the fireplace?
Caminus Prime
Did anyone else notice ratchets face image in the TV Spot?

And in TFP the same things happen. Megs terraforms earth to build his own Cybertron before the well of allsparks was reignited.
So I'm not against this idea, heck, with the movieverse. It practically makes sense, given the creators and shizz…..

^Thanks to your speculations. The interest for the film is getting high of me. But I'll prompt myself not to expect TOO MUCH.
I'd say "lowered expectations".
Could I speculate a little too?
What if Cybertron is not what it looks like. Maybe It wasn't Cybertron in the first place. It has it's own name at first. Could be a planet not so "cybernetic".
It has it's own lifeform but not really "transformers". Then what caused turning into "cybertron" was The Cube/AllSpark? Terraforming "the planet" into Cybertron we know.
I recall in TFTM, Megatron "plans to use The Allspark" to build his own army/make earth a new cybertron" or something like that.
The AllSpark can breathe a new life right?
Moy
I like this.

I have to admit, with all this speculation along with the footage being shown, I'm very interested in seeing this movie and watching the history unfold. I'm a bit of a history buff and a transformers fan so this transformers history stuff has really caught my attention.
Lord Ultron
In the scenes showed at the IMAX event, Sir Edmound Burton says that the Knights of Cybertron are the first cybertronians, or, at least, I remember this way, maybe I have wrong. We will see how things have been billions of years ago.
Regarding the two ships…. I don't know, we will see.
tonyformer
Actually the Knights are not the first Cybertronians. There were the Primes and those like them that were first. Remember that they actually came to Earth much much easier than these few knights of Cybertron. The Knights came later after the Primes. Also, there are at least 2 ships on Earth that we know of. The one that's in the water that could be the Omega Lock, Well Of AllSparks or something like a space station?? Maybe even Trypticon Station? Anyway, the other ship is the Knights and DragonStorm's "Ark Ship" that is crashed in the mountain side.
Lord Ultron
Interesting, even if I prefer the classic way: Primus is one with the core of Cybertron.
But we have to see how things will be. For now, thanks to the IMAX footage, Sir Edmound Burton revealed that the Knights of Cybertron are the first cybertronians (like in the IDW comics), that they were on Earth and saw in the Knights of the Round Table the best that humanity had to offer.
They are still on Earth, dormant, hidden in this spaceship (the Omega Lock, maybe?), waiting for the Last Knight and to face "What was destined to arrive".
The idea of Cybertron as the original homeworld of the Quintessons is cool, and the current state of Cybertron would be a reference to the G1 version of Quintessa: a broken world with a visible core.
I have a theory: maybe, the orgainic parts on the surface of Cybertron that we see came from its original state, when it was, maybe, a techno-organic (or only organic, but I doubt this because the Quintessons/The Creators are techno-organic beings) planet, and this would explain why it is so little. Maybe, the AllSpark turned the metallic elements of the planet, expanding it mass and covering the original surface of Cybertron, building new surfaces and generating new species.
There are a lot of not clear things. Optimus and the Dinobots are Knights too, so, we have to learn their backstory, understanding what happened. Why those Legendary Warriors are Dinobots and Optimus turned from a Knight to a Prime (in a similar way to the Aligned continuity, where Optimus was the thirteenth original Prime, reincarnated in Orion Pax)? Why they had the Knight Ship, and aren't with their comrades?
I'm so impatient to know the truth.

I'm starting to think that the Earth might be the real starting point of the origins of the TFs. What if Earth is actually Primes or at least it's Core. And some how the AllSpark which was part of Primus made its way to the planet that later became Cybertron and seeded it with life like OP said in movie one? The AllSpark could be a way Primus would spread himself across the universe. Send out these Cubes that would land on planets and create new life.
Could very well be that Cybertron was indeed the first homeworld of the Quints but when the Cube landed on their world, it's starting turning their world against them and in turn the rise of TFs happens. Their own work robots were given life and turn agains them and later new generations of TFs continue to be made. They eventually kick the Quints off the planet and that whole history is lost to time.
The Quints are then found by Unicron and turned into their new half organic/half Cyborg selves and tasked to find Primus and kill him as he's the only thing that can kill Unicron. And the reason everything keeps coming back to Earth is because it's actually the original starting point of it all.
Lord Ultron
I agree. I think only the coherent things will be in that room (the Pillar, the Knights picture, the anti-transformers propaganda posters), the rest will be probably replaced by artifacts or/and documents, pictures from Sector 7 and/or other sources.
The Order of the Witwiccans is ancient and surely borned as a consequence of the alliance between King Arthur and the Knights of Cybertron. They know about the Transformers more than anyone else, and the mission of the cybertronian knights is to protect Earth, in fact, they came on our world for some purpose, as is clear from the third trailer. The IMAX event revealed to us that there is a propecy about the Last Knight, the thirteen knight that will join the Round Table and establish peace between humans and cybertronians.
And, think about this: the Order is called …
Of the Witwiccans
this remainds me about….
The family of the Witwicky
Moreover, the Knights of the Round Table had a motto, visible on their coat-of-arms, and cited by Sir Edmound Burton in the first trailer:
Sine sacrificio, sine victoria
It's latin, and it means….
No sacrifice, no victory
It is the Witwicky motto.
This is a giant connection with the previous movies, no to mention all the references to DotM and the trilogy: the Pillar, the Ark, the events of Chicago (that is the reason why Izabella has lost her family and TRF exists), the return of Lennox, the cameos of Simmons and Epps.
I think that the Writers elaborated a strategy to connect everything we saw in the past through this "Secret History", revealing that, probably, things aren't so accidental. Infact, the current question that Sir Burton says it will be answered is:
Why they keep coming here, on Earth?
tonyformer
I'm really starting to think that the killer planet isn't Cybertron like my original theory and It's either Unicron or the Quintessons home world and when Quintessa "Cons" Op into helping her revive her world, she tells him that what he needs to revive his world is on Earth. And the only way Cybertron can be revived is to essentially merge the Quint homeworld or Unicron with Earth.
While that killer planet does look somewhat like Cybertron, I still feel we are really missing something here and it's just with the way the trailers have been edited that we "think" this is Cybertron.
Burton also says they have been on earth to protect Earth from this event. Who is they tho? I'm thinking he's not talking about all TFs but the Knights in particular.
Think about it, if the Autobots were on Earth for all this time and their mission was to protect Earth from Cybertron when this event was to happen, it makes no sense. 1. They already did that in DOTM but were forced to protect Earth from Cybertron because of the way Cybertron was being used by the Cons and Sentinel.
2. The Bots wouldn't leave Cybertron to come to Earth to be tasked to protect Earth from the very planet they themselves need to save and revive.
Which again makes me think Burtons remark about them being here to protect Earth is acafully the Knights have been here to protect Earth from Unicron or this event of Quintessa wanting to merge her planet with Earth.
But the question as to why they still would even want to protect Earth from anything is what I have?
