Amazing!!!
Prime Wylde
just amazing.

Still looking for an A3 print of this awesome cover, maybe from Alex or Josh. Alternatively a high-res copy I can print myself.

I like the new artist but the JRO and Milne duo was much better. It just worked. IDW please bring Milne back on the MTMTE/LL team!!

Burcham was the colourist for season 1 of MTMTE. Joana was the colourist for Season 2. However Josh Perez coloured this image.

I'm with you on this. As you know, I was already growing increasingly lukewarm to Roberts' storylines already, but with the one-two punch of Roberts and Milne (at their collective prime) a thing of the past, I just can't muster the enthusiasm I once had. My ambivalence to the artwork certainly is a factor.
I understand that Transformers are very hard to draw. I am intimately aware of that. I feel bad for the artists who are stuck trying to compete with some of the greats of the (very small) Transformers artist subgenre. But what can I say? I don't collect Transformers comics as a charity project. I buy them for myself (or don't buy them, as the case may be). If the art and the writing don't move me, then I'm out.
I'm sorry, bud, but this strikes me as a bit of a silly line of thinking to take…
When and if their sales slump, it's up to IDW and their creative teams to ask why, and to course-correct appropriately. The forums, and posts just like these ones, offer a barometer of public opinion that didn't quite exist in the pre-internet days of comics. If they aren't tracking performance (they are), or following the social media buzz, or asking themselves those questions about why the series is (or isn't) successful, it's certainly not the fault of people who stopped buying the series. We are under no moral obligation to keep the series afloat, especially if we've started to find it mediocre, right?
I mean, it's not pettiness. We just stopped buying because we weren't happy with the series anymore… and moreover, we've left a social media trail that outlines why we made those decisions (probably in some detail). If IDW wants to know why people dropped the book, they don't have to look far. If they don't want to know, that's their problem, not mine.
Now, I have no idea how LL is faring right now. People like me and GoLion are just a few folks who fell off… I'm not expecting little old us to bring down the whole ship… and if we did, then I'm thinking the series has much more serious issues.
By now, there's probably a trade I can check out to see if I'm feeling more charitable about (what I see as) Roberts' writing slump. But it is a hard sell with the change in art. because I'm not crazy about the new artist. I actually like the stuff I've seen from the Optimus Prime series much better, but I gave up on Barber's writing long ago.

Good thinking of dropping the book for that. They will most likely stop publishing it. They won't ask why you dropped the book.
GoLion
I haven't picked up an issue of LL yet. I've been reading it at the shop with mild contempt.
I don't care how good a story is, comics are ALWAYS FIRST a visual form of entertainment. You don't throw out your star player and bring in a little league kid expecting the same result. I know some people don't care, and will continue to read the book regardless. Those people are making a mistake.
Hell, Roberts could take a shit on a sheet of paper and some fans will still clamor for more. Oh well.
Additional thought: Frankly, since Milne has left the book, I've noticed how… boring Roberts' work has been. It's pretty much the same story over and over with the same weak resolution that barely makes any sense. At least when Milne was on the book the book was a scrumptious meal of art. Now? Pass.
G1 Evac
Yeah I won't read Lost Light too, unless they bring back Milne
lordcryotek
Gah, seeing Megatron drawn well again is almost heart-breaking…move Lawrence to one of the kid-friendly books or something, we need Milne back to make The Lost Light readable again.
kaszal
I wonder could I get an A3 print of this off Milne or the colourist? Burcham was the main colourist for MTMTE wasn't he?
Black Convoy
We are here…. We are waiting…

I would love a solo black and white Milne book-that detail is amazing!

I have no idea. I haven't been told what I will be doing after I finish the ROMvsTransformers series.

Will you be returning to do interiors on this book anytime soon? You are terribly missed. I like the new guys art ok and it is improving with each issue but you are the master!

You raise such a good point here.

Just looked him up. I don't know much about him. Is it a Pacific Rim thing?
AnomusPrime
I don't know…I quoted it from twitter. You can look it up but I guess that's it.
Those artists are all pretty solid to me. It's not that easy to draw an inhuman species and make them distinguishable to each other, and relatable to the general audience. Proportions and layouts are much harder too, with all their sizes and weird body parts making things awkward. I tried to draw them and it's torturous. I really don't like it when people shit on those hardworking artists.
