Thanks to members down_shift and cloudhopper of TFW’s sister site, Cybertron.ca, we have our first retail sightings of Transformers The Last Knight voyager and deluxe toys! Found at a Toys R Us in Quebec, the waves consist of the following figures:
Voyagers:
- Grimlock (Age of Extinction repaint)
- Optimus Prime
Deluxe:
- Barricade
- Berserker
- Bumblebee
- Slash
The voyagers cost about $40 CAD and the deluxes $30 CAD. Happy hunting, TFW!

Their not so hot. Maybe in 10 years or so.
It must hard being an only toy store, and one that isn't exactly everywhere. When parents and either just satisfy their kid on their weekly trip to walmart or get them exactly what they want online.
Lazerwave
Just as long as Toysrus is not going out of business.
Purple Heart
Mmmhhmmm.

Hey…sometimes we just wanna go on break!!!
But yeah, from what I hear the company ain't doing so hot…
Purple Heart
TRU overcharges for everything. I thibk it's because they aren't doing so great.
Thank Primus they have price match though. The employees tend to get pissed when you price match 10+ items.
Prime135
This, notice how Walmart usually has prices $2-$5 cheaper than TRU.

You do realize Hasbro has no control over what prices retailers sell these figures for right? Hasbro sells them directly to retailers, and then retailers sell them to us for higher prices to make profit. Hasbro does give out a MSRP(Mass Retail Suggest Price), but they most likely only sell them to store for $10 a pop. It's not Hasbro's fault for the pricing, at least not directly. They've already made their money before the figure even gets shipped to the store.
That lady most likely took note of what you said, but you'd have better chance yelling at Walmart.

There was no yelling or harsh words I promise you. lol
Well I called them today and told them what I thought of their prices, called twice actually. The first time the guy was surprised I knew about anything as they are not suppose to be out yet and he couldn't comment and said something about it's the retailer. The second time I actually told them what I thought of the prices and how I knew and that a lot of us didn't like them and she said that she would inform her manager and marketing about this. Now I'm not sure how that's going to go but I tried. Imagine if everyone tried a little.

BAC parts to Build a Cybertron, that's the only thing that would justify a price hike of that magnitude. And I'm talking line wide parts for a massive Cybertron diorama with highly detailed sculpting and working LED monitors with Autobot and Decepticon symbols on their respective base monitors that light up. There's one justification, not a good one, but one that might be worth it to some collectors. Not me mind you, but somebody might want it.

Well maybe you could help us figure out the positive outcomes of those 10$ price jumps? Maybe if there was an improvement in plastic quality or an addition of creative gimmicks or perhaps, decent paint aps. Yeah that would justify a 10$ increase. But I'm afraid thats not the case…
Purple Heart
I feel bad for the customer service lasy who has to put up with that.
Bobby Bolivia
Dude you're confusing everyone lol, we're talking about CANADIAN prices here, Voyagers were always 30$ CA (Until now) and Black series are also 30$,prices are riiiidiculous. And I didnt even add the taxes. And thats why canadian collectors should be mad. Hasbro is getting away with those ridiculous prices. Now they went 10$ CA up just like that.
User_136440
Seems to work out about the same as over here, so you're not alone.
Bobby Bolivia
Yeah well don't forget about the high ass taxes in Canada. Around 15%. Voyagers were 29.99 since 2006, and wow that's ridiculous. With taxes, one deluxe will cost 34$ (25$ US), and one voyager will cost 46$ (35$ US), almost 50$, which comes close to the original Leader Class price. I dont even want to imagine what the price of a Leader will be. RIP canadian collectors.
Lazerwave
Oh yeah. That.

I think he's talking about this- http://toys.tfw2005.com/wp-content/…Powered-Up-Optimus-Prime-Unite_1266530719.jpg

I know that Takara released that Voyager Jet Prime. You are talking about Animated, right?
mx-01 archon
There was the Voyager Jet Prime armour toy that never got released. And while we just got the silver recolour of RotF Voyager Megatron in the MB lineup, a deco similar to that was supposed to come out at the tail end of their RotF line as well, but never did.
Lazerwave
Just thinking about TLK toys being shelfwarmers in Canada. I'm worried we'll never see wave 2 onward. I may have to count on Takara. Takara never cancels any movie toys, do they?
Thanks a lot. I will call my Toysrus now.
