Thanks to our fellow 2005 Boards user tco for sharing in-hand pictures of MP-36 Megatron for all of us. The pictures gives us an excellent idea of the figure both in robot (with all accesories and next to other MP figures) and gun mode.
About other gimmicks like sound, tco let us know that there are two buttons found on scope — one of them is pressed for audio; another red translucent button is used for switching sound effect. Megatron’s voices are in Japanese and one of them is Megatron’s laughing. You can also switch to blasting sound effect or transforming sound effect.
We have mirrored all the pictures for you viewing pleasure, so don’t wait more and click on the bar to check them and share your opinions on the 2005 Boards.

Outside of MP-36+ and rereleases for MP-36, there's been nothing news/rumor-worthy to add to this thread for a while.

I would say that Megatron is by far THE best of both figures based on affordability and the mere fact that you don’t have to worry about breaking his ratchets when you move his legs. POOR engineering on Takara’s part and that is why I’m getting the KO. Who wants a super expensive figure that you have to fix when you buy it? Eehhhh. Not me. To each his/her own. Enjoy him if you have him.
ThatGuyCalledBlaster
No no yeah, I know. I jest of course, ha.
Easily a debate between the two, imo. Though for now, Megs would probably edge out since I can speak for him from firsthand unlike MP-44.
BIOMEC
Fran said it in singular, but for me both are really good! Prime has more ratchets, so it has the edge over Megatron imo!
ThatGuyCalledBlaster
Why not both?
BIOMEC
Which one!?
ThatGuyCalledBlaster
God, they both look SO GOOD together, haha.

Best MP ever made.

I'd say him, MP-44 and Sunstreaker are easily the current prime examples of how a modern MP should be done. Here's to hoping that the QC gets better, since Takara has the capabilities to make the best MPs out there, with enough engineering, sculpt, paint, accessories (for me, the extra faces go places with me, and are something I hold in very high regard), etc. With some, especially Hound, I was dumbfounded and disappointed to see this, essentially what was a fall from grace. I sincerely hope that since we learned a lot about what has been happening since @Gamerlingual spoke with a TakaraTomy rep at the last Winter Wonderfest iirc? That we see Takara make shit right, reissue their flawed pieces, and get back into the swing of things once again.

He
He pretty much set a standard for modern masterpiece figures nowadays, (idk if Megatron himself held Takara at fusion cannon point to make the latest autobot MPs riddled with QC issues just so nobody can top his figure)

Bought my second one off a guy on MyFigureCollection (after selling my first in order to replace it with a MSIB Megs), just like how he used to be, he's one of my all-time favorite figures in my entire collection. Transfomation aside, prime example of the term MASTERPIECE when it comes to Transformers.
AndyPurro
Mine has a loose ratchet joint on his left foot and he sometimes tends to tumble over with museum poses unless I really balance it right, don't know how to fix, I think it's misassembled or something

Still the greatest masterpiece!

You will need a pipette for getting a controlled amount of thinner to thin down paint, so I would recommend this: it's around only $10, so not bad. I'm gonna make the safe assumption you're in the Americas. Here's the link: https://www.usagundamstore.com/products/mr-mix-ii
It's this Mr. Mix II set. Comes with everything you need. 2 scoopers/stirrers and 2 pipettes.

Thanks! I get its a proportion/ratio but I wasn't sure what you were to measure the amounts with. What "scooper" do you recommend?
BrutiKing
It’s proportional basically. @Sy-Rein Gives pretty good examples. I use a tiny little paint scooping thing and for every 4 parts of white I put in, I also put in 1 black, 1/2 navy blue, and 1 rough silver.
