Big news, friends – ticket sales for TFNation 2017 are now open! Fans wanting to attend this year’s UK celebration of all things Transformers can now pre-register over at the TFNation homepage.
This year, there are full weekend tickets on offer, as well as single tickets for the Saturday and Sunday for those who can only make part of the convention. Of course, with a weekend ticket, you get full access to the convention which includes the Friday programme and the after show events on Saturday night. For those staying over, there are special convention rates available on rooms at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham – starting at just over £60 for a single room and £70 for a double, and that includes breakfast with bacon… delicious bacon. You’ll be able to book your room once you have pre-registered – and the whole process is very smooth and slick.
Be sure to book your ticket and hotel room early, because TFNation is sharing the hotel with the Festival of Quilts much like Auto Assembly did in a few of its Hilton years – which means a full-on sell-out of the hotel and many confused glances from quilters at adults playing with toys is a sure-fire thing!
That link again, to pre-register your tickets, is www.tfnation.com!
TFNation 2017 will be taking place over the weekend of August 11 – 13, 2017, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole in Birmingham in the UK. Special guests at this year’s convention include Transformers creator and Marvel comics writer Bob Budiansky, the voice of Beast Wars Blackarachnia, Venus Terzo, IDW artist Jack Lawrence, colorists Josh Perez and John-Paul Bove as well as other guests yet to be announced. Check out the TFNation homepage for more information.

Anyone attending TFN can get their own items signed for free by any guests.

Ah, ok. That's good to know.

No he wasn't charging for all signatures – only on the items he had on his desk. I got him to sign my TF ultimate guide and there was no charge from him. Great to meet him and be able to thank him for the leg work that made Transformers what it is.

I was at the show on the Saturday and really enjoyed it. I didn't get chance to meet Bob Budiansky, but part of that was seeing, in passing, a price list for signatures at his table (and so I put it lower down my list of priorities). Was he charging for all signatures?

Great show I think – tired now.

It was definitely a good weekend

Great weekend as always, wasn't much of a mixer this year, needed to be around the folk I knew for reasons.

Same here, got some pictures of Bob Budianskys panel which was fascinating, and a few others as well.
Great weekend, and great to meet some fellow UK'ers from UKTD.

The Glyph's sold out but hopefully someone grabbed you one. She's a cute little figure, if a bit fiddly due to all the ball joints and lack of tabbing. She just feels a bit floaty…
If anyone wants to see any pics from the show I took quite few, just let me know.
GAUGE
severe lack of TFNation news on the front page of the site. I wonder why. you'd think at least news and photos would make the cut.
Also…,
If anybody has any extra TFNation MAAS Glyphs please sell me one.
