Thanks to their Facebook page, Planet X have updated their more recent upcoming project with new painted prototype images! Aptly named “Apocalypse“, this project is Planet X’s take on War for Cybertron Trypticon, a figure that’s been highly anticipated since his initial reveal last year. From the looks of things, the Planet X team has been hard at work as Apocalypse is starting to come together with some color on him. However, Planet X also stated that this isn’t the final version so there’s still work to be done.
In addition to Apocalypse getting an update, Planet X have announced through these photos, their upcoming takes on War for Cybertron Thundercracker and Skywarp. Naturally, these two are repaints of their take on Starscream who was just recently released.
Apocalypse is up for pre-order via our sponsors and the Seeker repaints have yet to be listed, so stay tuned and, in the meantime, check out the pics after the jump and join the discussion already in progress to share your thoughts and excitement!

Anyone have a set of lights they would let go?
zark225
Oof, Generations Deluxe Optimus Prime and Megatron disagree.

Something I've been wondering: is the reissue actually molded in BLACK plastic? Some of the pics really make it look like it is. The original is like a very dark purple grey, not really black.

Still waiting on Metallic FoC Sludge, Slug, and Snarl. C'mon PX, daddy needs his shiny dinobots!!!
GrimLocke
Oh, I know it, and I do recall that they still feel burned by Trypticon’s sales specifically.
Then again, they seem to keep restocking Tryps, so I presume it must sell well enough to start new production runs years later.
Still, if their Dinobots sell well, maybe they’ll be more daring in the future.

I've been advocating for a FoC Combaticons for Y E A R S now. PX is still wary about making them.
To be fair, HasTak's figs didn't do any of the High Moon Studio characters any justice.
GrimLocke
Mostly I’d want Soundwave and the Combaticons, but Jazz did wrangle with Bruticus in the final level of FoC, so they would go well together.
And, oh, yes, indeed, that HasTak figure definitely did not do High Moon Jazz justice!
QuintusTheExaltedOne
I think the next FOC character should be Jazz since Siege never gave us a Cybertronian one, and the only Cybertronian Jazz we got is paper thin. It’s one of the slickest redesigns High Moon ever did, it deserves a solid figure. View attachment 29466777View attachment 29466778

It’s definitely something I’d like to get someday, but I don’t currently have the space for it.

One of my favorite figures ever. And I am in the "I wish it was bigger" camp.

Finally got him after being in customs hell for almost all of March…
Love this figure. And I'm actually glad he isn't as freakishly tall as you would think. He is actually quite easy to handle. Not as heavy as I imagined either.
All in all, very nice figure. And being a single box, instead of two giant boxes, all the better.
Biggest "complaint": all those sharp spikes. Combined with those very tight ratchets make him a challenge to transform and pose. But hey, what's a few cuts if you're handling Trypticon.
He will make a nice addition to my collection. And my new team. Here he is with his new mistress, Nero Queen. Thinking about getting him a rodent walking harnas. Could be fun for posing him with her.
For now, it's "give paw!".

BECAUSE EVERYONE WANTS MORE OPTIMUS, TLK, AND G1 FIGS!
3rd party mindset, still can't believe that the worst TF movie ever made gets more attention from 3rd party companies while they could produce an OSKO Trypticon or Metroplex, we all know that size isn't the problem anymore (jinbao) just the lack of will to produce good stuff, if WJ was still alive damn sure that they would have done a Metroplex like their Omega
