Via PreviewsWorld, we have a look at another new incentive cover for Transformers: Til All Are One issue 6. This cover features a more animesque take on Windblade by artist Zoner, and is an incentive for comic stores who purchase ten copies of the third main ongoing Transformers series. Check out the cover attached to this post.

It seems very weird her lips seems out of place. Not mention the eyes.
Raiyuki
It's not th size but the awkward way their positioned. They look like they're bending in ways they shouldn't

That's a very good point when describing why you might critique this particular face as compared to the "average" face, but it doesn't hold up to using the term "normal."
Perfectly "normal" adults can have child-like facial feature placement and and might not compare well to an "averaged" facial representation.
And I know it sounds like a mostly semantic argument, but still, words matter, and describing something as varied as facial proportions as normal and abnormal doesn't work.
marvel b
greatest alt mode ever!!!!
"decepticons are attacking! windblade, get to the top of that building, jump down and transform mid-fall"
*windblade follows orders*
"HI! I'M WINDBLADE!"
*transformes into dozens of broken trains that end up crushing the decepticons*
*everyone cheers* "OPTIMUS DID IT!!!!"
"wait, WHAT?!?!?!"
*thus begins my edition of machinima's combiner wars*
on a serious note on topic, the picture does seem very…..odd.

I like it

In theory younger character tend to have a more "squished" face and more mature char tend to have a "longer" face, Windblade portrayed here has a rather "child" like face but a sexualized body which is does not go along.
The face does remind me of the windblade 4 cover's badly proportioned face. anyone else?View attachment 27650689

Ha ha! That's it, folks – close down all the discussion threads. Transformers belongs to Hasbro, IDW etc and they can do whatever they want with it. No commentary necessary.
Splendic
If that's going to be your rationale for worthiness of discussion then everything that you don't make yourself is above criticism… ok.
Optimax Prime
it's IDW's comic they can do whatever they want for the cover

What's "normal" when it comes to the face of a robot?
Even humans don't have all the same proportions and spacing of features. And faces with more… ahem… character are still "normal".
So I don't mind her face being stylized and "squished."
But I think it's unfortunate to put her into the "helpless and sexy" pose. They tried to offset it by leaving her with her sword, but still… if even an asexual robot can't escape a submissive sexiness, well, that's kind of ridiculous.
Fallout
i thought her alt mode was a jet but obviously it's a train wreck
Raiyuki
Considering that their faces have mouths that stretch and contract and their eyes often stretch and contract that's a dangerous slope of bringing logic into this
Any chance you could fix the fingers as well cuz that's the one thing that really throws me off

Wh-? Eww.

It's not the new definitive Windblade, but it is yet another female character in comics who hasn't escaped being eroticised in official cover artwork. In a franchise where, as far as I know, no male character has suffered the same treatment. Not in official artwork. Maybe someone can show me I'm wrong by digging up a Prime cover where he's posed sexily. Or Starscream. It's gotta be Starscream, right?
I don't think anyone is particularly wound up though. I imagine most people who find this crass are past being shocked by it now, since pop culture in general pulls this shit with such regularity.

This cover strikes me as rather disturbing, tbh
Just…ugh
Smitty.1981
That looks more like the "No soul brother" face.

Would it help everyone calm down if I took back the ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME joke…?
It is for me!

I just don't see the point in criticizing something like this because of the sexualization. (I mean don't get me wrong, I don't like it. I think making a character super sexualized is just a cheap cop-out as a substitute for good writing.) But I mean it's not like this is the new definitive Windblade. There are plenty of interpretations of the character that aren't done in such a style, so I don't see why getting bent out of shape because one artist made one a bit over the top is warranted.
Tekmen
The eyes are somehow placed and scaled wrong, hence the weird face proportion.
Should be like the right image
I photoshoped the eyes a bit. The head looks more normal this way.
