Via Entertainment Earth, we are able to report on some new Transformers Rescue Bots toys which are coming your way in the near future. New additions to the bots include new Rescue Mini-Cons Swift the Cheetah Bot in Mini-Con wave 3 along with a single pack of Fireplug, the dalmatian Mini-Con previously included with the Griffin Rock firehouse set. Wave 4 then adds a very cool looking bear Mini-Con named Sequoia. The second wave of Rescue Bots Mega Bots also adds a new toy in the form of Copter Crane Blades, a larger version of Blades with his rescue claw from season 1. Lastly, an upcoming assortment of the Rescan figures is adding an all-new character named Brushfire. There’s images of each assortment except the one with Brushfire, which we’ve attached to this post.

Oops.. I didn't realise these had been out in HK for 6-7 months already. They just hadn't show up anywhere else yet that usually stocks Rescue Bots, and mst have forgotten about the April sighting.

Might pick up some of these 'minicons' if i find them at retail, but not going out of my way for them. FYI the red dragon one has the peg just right so anybody with 5mm holes can hold him in a way that looks right.

I have NEVER seen so many RB toys in one place, others too, but the amount of RB toys is mind blowing. Lucky you to see those!!!

The recolored first-year bots and (likely) High Tide were available in Hong Kong earlier this year, but no other sighting reports of them ever showed up from anywhere else in the world until now, so it is good to see that their distribution is at least branching out a little. I'm hoping that these don't get axed before we see a U.S. release.

Now out in Singapore and Hong Kong are reissues of some of the first year Rescue Bots toys (so far found are Bumblebee and Heatwave), packed with grey redecos of their second year Energon weapons (they were originally translucent blue). They come in an assortment that includes the new transforming submarine High Tide toy, which is also the larger size scale of the first two years of transforming Rescue Bots toys…. which seems very odd, because they reduced the size of the transforming toys and then ended up releasing all of the first year characters in that smaller size, only to now go back to the larger size, for at least one new toy (High Tide).
The Epic/Megabot Heatwave has been reissued as well, in the size class that had the transforming boat version of High Tide and the Trailer Optimus without the trailer. This is NOT the minor redec that will be called Night Rescue Heatwave (which is strange for this to be reissued if an almost identical version is supposed to come out next… unless that one was cancelled in favour of this reissue). The toy itself looks to be the same – just in the new, current style packaging.
.
This photo shows how much larger the new Submarine High Tide toy and cardback is to the recent transforming Rescue Bots toys… and how it scales to the larger Megabots (Heatwave).

As each one of the Minicons matches the larger robots colour wise (except perhaps Fireplug "Maybe") – I wonder if that Bear being orange implies that Brushfire is orange coloured too.
The new Blades looks OK – if he can lift the smaller vehicles the Optimus is a repaint though isn't it.
I wish Hasbro would remember that Playskool made Go-Bots/My First Transformers and Kenner made 123 Transformers all of which could move their arms and no one complained they were to complicated for the little kids – if the kid is able to transform a mini-con they are able to remember to more the arms during a transformation – especially as Playskool already solved that problem with shoulder designs that naturally seated at the proper place.
It is so very frustrating to be sold all these tools and accessories and have Humans barely able to use them and Robots that may as well be statues they move so little.
If they know this line has reached it's natural conclusion then can't they go out with a bang – rather than a whimper ?

I'm guessing Brushfire might be a repaint/retool of Heatwave?
Smokey would be pleased.

Here's the link for Swift (you have two of the same link above, both going to Sequoia):

Also of interest is a single-pack version of Fireplug (previously only available with the Griffin Rock Garage playset).

So if Rescue Bots were to get a Season 5, we would see more mini-cons and possibly this "Brushfire".
