Transformers artist Livio Ramondelli has tweeted a couple of pieces of artwork he has prepared for some upcoming Transformers projects. First up is a retailer incentive cover for the upcoming Transformers Revolution One Shot, that features a team up of Megatron and Cobra Commander! Check it out attached to this post.

Scale?
If we stick to the idea of Megatron being 35 feet tall… yeah, Cobra Commander is a bit small. But it doesn\'t really bother me here. Scale between TFs and humans has always been the loosest relationship.
What bothers me about this cover is the way Ramondelli flattens the perspective inconsistently for the sake of a pretty awkward abstract effect. I'm referring to the way the core block of the fusion cannon is depicted as being not only of larger dimensions than the barrel, but that Livio is willing to force perspective for Megatron's forearm and fist, but doesn't apply the same perspective to the cannon barrel (which should appear much larger). The way it's drawn here, apparently Megatron's wrist extends beyond the mouth of the cannon barrel. And this is presumably all in order to create a weird composition dominated by flat square forms… not only abstract, but less dynamic.
So yeah, usually I'm willing to accept Livio's stylized approach as being a valid approach, but in this case, it's just badly drawn.
Other than that, cool image.

Looks about right for Marvel scale. Maybe not IDW.
RKillian
Yes, and that makes every issue of Battle of the Rocklords that much harder to work through. If they want him to do artsy covers, fine, anything to spare the inside of the book.

…do you people understand ANYTHING about Art? This is an image based around an idea, a concept. It's meant to be symbolic, expressive – being a literal, 100% representative life study is not that important. It's probably not meant to be 100% to scale. He's probably had to work the image a little to fit everything in. But what does the presentation say to you as a whole? Me, I think it's fantastic. An alliance between Megatron and Cobra Commander is chilling to the core. Great colouring. Megatron has rarely looked so cold, so deadly. CC adopting a typically imperious pose. Quite a risky composition, I'm not sure it's entirely successful, but overall it's a striking image that will definitely help draw the eye in a crowded comic book store.

I get why this cover exists but it feels wrong seeing a cover with Megatron as a villain and also with a cannon attached to him.
UltraPrimal
Cobra Commander is going to go flying when Megatron\'s fusion cannon recoils.
Megastar
Agreed.
SG Roadbuster
boo. Bring back Sarah Stone.
Fallout
nope. cobra commander needs to be 150-200% the size he is now.
Novaburnhilde
Awesome!

I can't be the only one who thinks this is terribly out of scale.
Can I?

COOOOOBRA!
CC looks great with a cape.

Don't worry. It's just one of those covers that doesn't have anything to do with the actual comic.
Thundershot
Wait… What's this go to? Megatron had better not be taken off of the lost light and returned to "bad guy" status….. Hopefully it's just a random cover that has nothing to do with anytning…
QLRformer
It's a great cover.
But really Cobra Commander goes better with Starscream.
