The video shows a little kid explaining to his grandpa how the toy works. It cleverly address the audience regarding the features of the toy such as the Mini-Con Gimmick, 5 Easy Steps and Lights/Sounds.
Two other Demo Videos also showed up on the channel featuring Power Heroes and Power Surge Optimal Optimus Prime.
We’ve mirrored the videos with this news post. Check ’em out, after the jump.

Can anyone tell me what the other phrases are Prime say with any of the other mini-cons. He comes with the bird one, and in the video reviews so far I have not seen anyone try the other mini-cons on his chest.
And are the available for sale, or do they only come with other figures?
I have this toy, but have not seen / did not even know there were other mini-cons.

i feel we should know who the codger is, based on his repeated looks and winks at the fourth wall

I felt it was adorable ….

I laughed way to hard at this for my own good.

So lets do the math. Grandpa looks to be 70. So minus 30 years from when the original movie was released, and he would have been 40. And I know you all saw that wink.
Myth Busted! Even in the 80s, 40 year olds were playing with Transformers!
This definitely reached my "I can't even" quotient for the day. I have to agree with MartyFeeb that this was both shameless and whimsically crafted to be as merchy as possible. All it was missing was for the boy to be a girl and Grandpa to rip open his shirt to show off his Navy and Decepticon tattoos.
Also can we all agree that this is very apparently their demo market? Somewhere between a five year old with no purchasing power that understands that Optimus Prime is the "strongest Transformer evah" and cool old octogenarian with also no purchasing power who doesn't understand five steps.

Old guy: Heh, does this bring back memories. When I was your age, those things didn\'t have half as many joints as this one…

Full disclaimer: I got through HALF of that awful commercial, before my will to live demanded I shut it off and prevent my brain from spontaneously combusting from the stupid!
That said… it only took a minute to realize the true purpose of the commercial. A Lay man might think it's to promote kid toys to kids, right…? WRONG – this commercial is saying in plain language: "BUY THIS TOY AND YOUR GRANDCHILD WILL LOVE YOU AGAIN!"
Ughhhh… that's the most unethical bullsh*t, imo. Getting old people to put their money in stupid things (and I'm a TF fan, mind you). I don't think it appropriate to encourage the elderly to spend $50+ on the affection of their grandchild. If they choose to spend, that's their personal choice – insinuating that material possessions are the true key to child happiness and love toward you… well, it's just a bad way to sell product. Unless said product wasn't selling to begin with – old people are suckers and an easy last resort! And they spend more on toys than the parents, right?
I don't like how vapid and insulting this commercial is. Dear lord, I wonder if it ends with the kid smashing a pie in his grandpa's face…

Why'd he say "unboxing"?

"They're robots that convert grandpa, how do you not know what transformers are?"
"oh sorry timmy, when i was your age my toy was a standard issue rifle and playtime was scalping nazi fucks, but please continue to be shitty."

Wish I had a grandpa that like transformers. Oh wait… I dont even have one…
