For our next gallery update, we’re bringing you a quartet of galleries – it’s a look at Wave 2 of the Titans Return Titan Masters. Here for your viewing pleasure are over 300 images showcasing all that Apeface, Brawn, Clobber, and Skytread have to offer!
Wave 2 of the Titan Masters carry on what was good about the first assortment – these are small, inoffensive, fun toys which work well to supplement the larger toys, and are nice to mess with on your desk in their own right. Clobber (Grimlock) and Skytread (Flywheels) are remolds of Wave 1’s Crashbash and Terri-bull, just with new faces for the head forms – I’m particularly happy with how Clobber came out.
Apeface and Brawn are all new to this assortment, and one cool detail is how each one has the original character’s robot mode details worked into the little Titan Masters – Brawn even has his original toy head on the Titan Master, though he transforms into the animation version of his head for his Headmaster mode. Apeface’s accessory is the best in the assortment, recreating both the jet and the ape of the original Generation 1 toy in faithful detail, while Brawn makes the best gun for the larger toys to wield.
These guys are not flawless – my chief complaint is the Titan Masters are devoid of paint which makes them feel unfinished – though they are lots of fun and for all they can do, you get a fair amount of bang for your buck. Check out the galleries of these four toys to see what you think:

Very fun figures. Apeface is my favourite.
To quote Rhinox from Beast Wars.

Surprisingly I was able to find these at an Australian Target today, rather than being five months late as usual. I picked up Brawn and Apeface, as I don't usually get repaints.
The engineering and design is better than the original, however the plastic quality is a little worse.
Also a tad disappointed with Brawn.

Great pics, especially with Clobber connected to Skullcruncher.
In the beginning I hated these TM packs, but after getting all of wave 1 and Apeface, I have done a 180 on these guys. They are great little buys for $5 and pretty fun for the extra "Targetmaster" style vehicles. And if one of the big stores wanted to bring back the shrink wrapped "Value Bundles" multipacks, I can see TMs being easily bundled with Deluxes.

Brawn was the first TM I saw. I've seen him in my area since the first TR set's have been out. Didn't realize he was supposed to be wave 2. Then again, I haven't seen a single Wheelie in my area.

Apeface is just too awesome. The best titanmasters figure set out. I\'ve been having more fun with this one than any of the autobots, mostly because his ape mode that he can ride is so cool, but also how easily it changes into jet mode. This one just feels more unique, and his head is really friggin cool.

I think these headmasters make perfect custom material.

I got Apeface last night. Super adorkable. I may get Brawny just because they're fun do-nothing pieces. It's like "here's a spare head and targetmaster piece to go with your figure you already bought."
I would agree the 3rd party fanbaiting is on high. But I also would contend that Hasbro is learning from the same groups about how to release something at a price point for cheap, and then hit up with separate accessories later on that equate to the price you would actually pay.

Him Wheelie. Him my whip.
Or, to put it another way: "Yo dawg, we heard you like Grimlock? So we put a Grimlock in your Wheelie so you can Grimlock while you Wheelie."

So this is what they call 'irony'..

Honestly, this feels as though it's meant to bait third party companies into making bodies for them.
I mean, obviously that's not the case, but this is seriously a lay up for them. There's really nothing you can put them on that won't feel out of place.

I found Brawn a couple of weeks ago, but he was all alone.

I can also confirm that there's definitely a revision to this wave. I picked up Brawn, Apeface, Nightbeat, and Loudmouth over the weekend. Thought it was odd that I found a half set of each of the first two waves, but it gives me hope to find the other two halves in another wave or two.
Also, great pictures. Can't wait to find the rest of these guys. For now the pictures will do!

These are great.

Ok, I'm confused. I put out a case at work that had Nightbeat, Loudmouth, Brawn, and maybe one I'm forgetting. But if Brawn is new to this wave, what wave wasa that?

I actually found wave 2 first and got Skytread I passed on Apeface at first and then could only find wave 1, then finally found 1.

Shame , I haven`t found Terri-ble or Skythred yet , but I didn`t know they shatted a titan master body , only thought it was the vehicle …. Interesting .

Wait a minute: these guys are Wave 2?
If that's the case I don't think I've seen a wave 1.

Can't wait to find Apeface. Assuming Target ever gets more Titanmasters than that lone Crashbash it's had for a month now…

At least they made a good effort on Apeface's accessory, since it manages to homage his vehicle and beast mode, and it makes a decent pocket toy. But he deserves a proper triple-changing voyager and so does his pal Snapdragon. Brawn's accessory is OK, I think I'll repurpose the set as Cybertron Overhaul stand-ins. But it begs the question of how did they manage to design and release Brawn as a Titan Master so quickly when they couldn't be bothered to do a proper Legends-scale version? This feels like another kick in the gut (like CW Huffer & Pipes) coming after so many mini-vehicle characters being updated in that scale in the last few years.

I've seen Apeface and Brawn a lot but no Skytread and Clobber. Is there a wave 2 revision that excludes those two?
