Awful just simply awful, I think TF Cybertron was better than this (and that was rubbish as well).
I really hope Hasbro takes some of that movie money and gets another studio to make Titans Return (if they actually do make sequal).
DecepticonSpike
You're welcome!
LynKey
Ah, thanks
DecepticonSpike
That the Constructicons built Megatron.
LynKey
The Constructicons had backstories? I remember created by Megatron on earth and brainwashed on Cybertron. what was the other one?
Tristich
This development of Starscream is beat-for-beat exactly like Cybertron's Starscream.
He gets the superpower, he becomes literally larger than life, and then kaput!

Final verdict: Keep the animation, but kill the rest with fire.
harrismonkey
Wow that was incoherent.
The thing that kilss me is the animation was passable and it probably cost more than the things they clearly didn't bother with like script.

Honestly I thought that the G1 cartoon was bad (At least in comparison to later shows with better writing. Maybe it's more okay at best.), but it certainly wasn't THIS bad! There's the Constructicons having 3 different conflicting backstories, and then there's being thrown into the story without much information about what's going on.
Though to be honest, Animated was probably the closest to a G1-style show we ever got, and it was good in its own right.
Autovolt 127
That would make so much sense.

There is nothing good about this show. I'd go into all of its problems, but I've done that before, and frankly, I'd be wasting my time on this total garbage.
Machinima should be ashamed of this trash.
And, you know, the running length is not an excuse. They have ~5 minutes per episode. Their final run time is supposed to be about 45 minutes total. There are plenty of TV shows which have completely coherent stories from beginning to end within that time. Why can't Combiner Wars do it? Just because it's split into ~5 minute episodes doesn't mean the quality should be worse. Each one could just be a separate story beat. Instead, each one is just a bigger clusterfuck than the last.
2Sixshot
yes but they had Machinima had animations on its channel before this
usernamedustin
I don't know about that. Hasbro did pay Machinima for this garbage.
jamarmiller
I wouldnt doubt it.
Shreddhead
You just blew my mind…
DecepticonSpike
Here's a thought: what if Hasbro made it this terrible on purpose just to tell us that a Generation 1 style show will not work in this day and age?
jamarmiller
thats what I am afraid of too
DecepticonSpike
I have to agree. I'm not a fan of RID15, but it is far more enjoyable than this.

i do see what your saying so let me be more clear and let me use one of your examples. if a company hires a chef that they know can cook and is the one that can be payed well and be happy with it. Then that night the chief messes up on a dish does that mean that the chef sucks and should be fired no, because its one dish and he can learn from his mistakes. Machinima was the probably the only available animation group that would accept the job without costing hasbro a crap ton of money. If you had actual fans that new how to animate and make stuff for a low cost, would it suck i don't know because it that didn't happen. Did this episode suck yah it did and Machinima can learn from there mistakes. Also lets just say that you can animate amazing things, you cant say that this is bad without actually trying yourself
2Sixshot
well its kinda hard to pay someone if you don't know what they can bring to the table
