Via TFW2005 member Mr. Chaos, we have some new computer listings which purport to reveal a pair of new Leader class toys on the horizon. First up is something teased by Hasbro themselves at their latest Botcon panel, Overlord, who has a product number of C2388.
Second is something a bit out of left field, Sky Shadow, whose product number is C1104. Chalk this one as a rumor, with a solid base. Sky Shadow was most recently used as a trademark-replacement name for Black Shadow, the Japanese remold of Generation 1 Thunderwing, so this listing would suggest that Sky Shadow is a Leader class update of this Decepticon. However, historically, Sky Shadow is a name that Hasbro has used freely for any number of characters – so it is possible this is a random name for a different cool toy Hasbro has planned – though we’d also note that trend has not really surfaced in the Generations line since 2011, so this seems unlikely.
Discuss this latest revelation after the break on the boards!

Well… shit.
Fallout

MnemonicSyntax
Nah, Fallout is just joking. He's good people.

G1 US had Marvel Comics writers, so more developed stories. The beginning of shows like Headmaster had some amazing action sequences, how much would I love a show with Marvel writing, but Japanese super-robot action scenes directed by the best Japanese talent………………hmmmm – THIS MUCH

TM Repugnus and Shuffler, legends Brawn, Perceptor, Broadside and Sky Shadow have all been shown but do not have an official wave designation from Hasbro afaik (but it's assumed to be wave 4). I'm sure there will be a few more figures to fill that out

Whats been announced for 2017 wave 2? Perceptor?
Bob Schoonover
I think Sixshot is wave 1, which usually (but not always) means he'll be at BBTS, TFSource, etc right before Christmas. Sky Shadow appears to be 2017 wave 2 (TR wave 4). Should be a really fun time of year – I think I'll be getting all of the 2017 wave 1 (TR wave 3) stuff (except maybe a legend Gnaw) and everything that's been announced so far for 2017 wave 2 (which still needs some holes filled in, officially).

Well I'm not reading any of this.
Who likes toys? Anyone….
Overlord has big lips, did you ever notice that. Kind of a weird choice if you ask me.
That upcoming Megatron triple changer is a bit bland (beige city), but having him and sky shadow and overlord and sixshot…
hell yeah!

Oh good grief, lets just let this die and get back to talking about how awesome these toys are. We are expecting Sky Shadow for the first Wave of 2017 right?

………..I'm sorry did you say something?
You're not making sense. Try reading what actually transpired here from the beginning then post again because the irony in this rant of your is hilarious (did you even bother reading my second paragraph???)

Accusing others of being trolls for disagreeing with you means one of three things: A) You're ignorant of what the term actually means B) You know what it means, but are attempting to use it to silence others from disagreeing with you or C) You are an actual troll yourself. I'm guessing you're kind of young, so I'm leaning towards A. People disagreeing with you isn't the same as being a troll. Even disagreeing with you in a somewhat inflammatory manner is not trolling. Others can disagree with you, quite vehemently and/or with snark, and be absolutely honest in their intention and position.

Man I can't wait to Sixshot, Shadow Sky Dark Dude and Overlord. And Sixshots hopeful redeco into the other six changers.

He hasn't watched them. He has SAID he hasn't watched them. Just little bits on youtube. He has no idea what he's talking about.
Yeah, this. Masterforce is the most fun TF series Takara has ever produced, hands down, imo. I don't rank it up with things like Beast Wars or Animated, but unlike all the other Japanese-produced TF cartoons, Masterforce is at least in the conversation.

I admittedly haven't seen any of the Japanese series in full (Excepting Zone but that's horrible and let's never speak of it again), but from what I've seen, Headmasters and Victory are both booooooooring sequences of "Nothing-is-happening-to-advance-the-plot-forward but here's some stuff, which was fine for the American cartoon because it was never trying to tell an overarching story, but Headmasters and Victory both have clear levels of plot progression, they're just staggered out far more than they should be trying to occupy the series with some kind of random and weird stuff. Headmasters is really bad at this, because about five minutes of each episode actually moves the plot forward and the other twenty just kind of draw out sequences that should not take that long.
Masterforce, on the other hand, is frigging awesome and is legitimately entertaining to me because it hits me in all the right places, with an interesting story, actual characters, that perfect amount of 80's super-robot anime charm, and general badassness. I would rate it higher than the Sunbow cartoon on any day and it would definitely be my first choice for purchase if I was going to buy a DVD.

Speak for yourself. I thought HM, MF and Victory were great (or at the least, not any worse than the American cartoon.) I'd be interested to know why you feel they're an "embarrassment," however.

But that's how we got Scramble City style combiners, and hence, most of Combiner Wars, though TBH everyone and their brother (except the one bot who has a brother) being a combiner was bit much for some people.
Autovolt 127
I don't care either way but if they did that. I'd love it.
