Another Fans Toys project, another “figure war”, as third party powerhouse Fans Toys has announced another Masterpiece-inspired project. FT-25 Outrider is the company’s latest project to be announced as they enter the Trailbreaker war with prototype images of their own homage to the character! He appears to come with a satellite dish accessory for his vehicle mode that homages the one used to spy on the Decepticons. Other than that, not much else is known at this time about Outrider, but more is sure to come soon enough, especially with TFCon Chicago on the horizon!
Check out the pics after the jump, and stay tuned to TFW for more news on this project and more from the world of third party Transformers!

You have to get the backpack flush or the connector to the head is tilted slightly and won't stay plugged in.

I'm the latest, I guess, to get in on this guy. All your photos helped. I just opened him from BBTS and I didn't realize his head did the MP Hound thing. Out of the box, my copy's head does not want to connect to the peg in his torso. Is this a known issue? Am I doing something wrong?

I feel toy heads should be a staple of MP figures. I dont always use them, but for some characters like that of Mp Sunstreaker or fanstoys tubes their toy heads completely beat the toon heads for me. I was thinking of retrofitting some of the toyhax from MMC trailbreaker onto the fanstoys one. Just to add a bit more spice

Don't you think his head sculpt looks like one of the California Raisins? I'm itching for a proper toy head.

I might also try to pop some of MMC Terraegis' decals on him at some point. I think his alt mode could do with more stripes too.

I would've preferred a toy head being included (really, FT?), but that's likely what my Outrider will look like as well.
Already use the leg transformation (I think because one wheel got stuck, but I was already planning on it anyway) and someday I'll paint the visor red as well. Just haven gotten around to it (or any other paint work). And a regular face with red visor is comic accurate.
EDIT: still no reprolabels, I think? But maybe that would over do it?!

Some red metallic paint, and a mis transformation of the legs and you get a more classic masterpiece (my preference) outrider taking inspiration from the toon, toy and comics

I don't think there's a toy head released, but @unmc2001 showed a picture sometime ago with what looked like a custom made toy head.
And sometime ago is a few posts above yours

Why is there a forcefield in the middle of some brownies?

Any update on a toy head for this lad? Someone must have been tempted to knock some out by now, surely!

Thanks. Means a lot. Foam board. Stacked and painted. Pretty simple really.

Love it. How did you do the rocks? Styrofoam?

Just something else I've been working on in the background. Took me a few attempts to get the forcefield look I wanted.

Hi!
A little help or advice, I was transforming him from car mode to bot mode and the leg wheel flip-hinges are super tight, managed to flip one with brute force but the other one is stuck to the point I think I might break the wheel before flipping the panel
Any advice?

I'd also be keen for this if anyone knows?

It’s not the best design. I put Future in my ankle joints. It holds up pretty well now.
It’s something FT really need to consider more of. Soar was the same. Such heavy bots need hardware in important places.
Their stunts aren’t as heavy but saying that I’ve never had to do anything to fix those guys.

I do love how clean Outrider is (less gaps) compared to the other versions, but I do wish he had an option for a smiling face, i'd like to have him chilling with Aussie (who I also wish had an option for a blue visor).

I had to.

I’m thinking of doing this with Parkour’s elbows. A tiny bit of capillary glue into the joint.
