IDW have posted the retailer incentive cover artwork for the upcoming Transformers 56 on their Tumblr account. The retailer incentive features the art of Kei Zama and colors by Josh Burcham, and is a cool retro styled piece of artwork which recalls the strong lines and dynamic look of the cover art of the later Marvel Transformers comics from the 1980s and early 1990s.
Transformers 56 is hitting comic stores this Wednesday, so be sure to check it out!

Oh well. Guess I'll just have to skip the funny parts.
Good job on the colors, Josh!

I might be in the minority here, but I'd love to see something like a G2 continuation alá Regeneration One (pulled off a little better obviously), or a spiritual successor to G2 with this aesthetic.
Sol Fury
Very cool looking cover – I really like the retro feel the artwork has.
