Here we are, back with another recap of Transformers: The Last Knight related news.
The biggest piece of Transformers Live Action Movie related news last week was the unexpected introduction of Hot Rod, an Autobot many fans wanted to see on the bigscreen for a long time. Currently, fans are trying to figure out the Alt-mode of Hot Rod but based on several unique features, the final verdict is down to the newly introduced Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 (news post image). However, we await the official reveal of the car. We expect the Paramount-Lamborghini partnership will continue in this movie as well.
Meanwhile Barricade has decided to blend in with United Kingdom. During a shooting where the background stands in for UK, Barricade has switched his motto to “Keep Calm And Hail Megatron” to reflect the old London Motto, as opposed to “To Punish And Enslave” which is a wordplay on United States’ Police Force Motto. It’s neat little minor details like these which makes keeping up with Michael Bay Live Action Transformers Movie Productions fun.
Speaking of Filming, an entourage of Autobots were spotted in Michigan including Bumblebee, Drift, Hound and Crosshairs. The team was accompanied by none other than Optimus Prime himself, who seems to have returned from his space journey. * cue the “Autobots Reunite” soundtrack *
Couple of filming videos also showed up. One video shows the Autobots go head to head with a Decepticon team which includes Barricade, Onslaught and the VW Van. The other video was released in an official manner where we get to see a 360 degree video of Bumblebee in action.
As expected, Director Michael Bay has made available a high resolution version of the New York Billboard Advertisement for the movie. You can download it right here (37mbs).
Drift’s Robot Mode is the latest official reveal at the time of this roundup post going up. The images are modified versions of his early concept art prior to Transformers: Age Of Extinction. His color is now red and is similar to the original concept art before he was changed to blue due to the unavailability of red Veyrons at the time. The new art displays Mercedes vehicle parts and the AMG logo on the swords.
Finally we have an upcoming treat from Collider. This entertainment news site is a long time friend of both Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg. They’ve been supporting the Transformers Live Action Movies as long as this newsie remembers. It’s only right that they got a press visit to see the production of Transformers 5. The report will be out next week, so keep an eye out for that.
We thank everyone who contributed with Transformers 5 news. Keep ’em coming.
