Toy News Magazine sat down with the newly appointed UK & Ireland Country Manager to discuss the future of Hasbro UK.
Mr. David Henderson had this to say…
“We are very fortunate at Hasbro. Our franchise brands, such as Nerf, Play-Doh, My Little Pony and Transformers, are growing in toys and all consumer product categories. Hasbro Gaming is seeing unprecedented success with Pie Face, Monopoly and much more. We unlock our franchise brands (Transformers, My Little Pony, Nerf, Play-Doh, Monopoly, Littlest Pet Shop and Magic: The Gathering) with immersive entertainment, innovation in toys and games, digital media and across all consumer product categories in markets around the world.”
Where are the areas of improvement for Hasbro in the UK and Ireland and how are you looking to tackle these?
“The team has done a phenomenal job in all areas. The key for our team is to be relentlessly focused on driving our business, understanding our consumer and connecting with them across all possible touch points.
Simply put, we must not be satisfied with our current momentum and always be seeking out new opportunities to connect with our consumer.”
Due to other commitments, Hasbro declined the invitation to be at this year’s London Toy Fair. Hopefully, they’ll be at the 2017 one with upcoming Transformers products. Check out the full interview at Toy News Magazine.

Seriously, though, how does Hasbro UK stay afloat? Is only the TF division this incompetent or is the whole subsidiary on the public dole?
Gingerchris
Is there a 'Dislike' button I can click? At the very least can I send Hasbro UK a 'Bullshit!'?
These guys sound so far up their own arses I bet they can see the back of their own teeth.
In my neck of the woods it feels like that's already happened.
Windsweeper II
'Reads thread title'
No they don't.
Rodentus prime
It seems that Dilberts pointy haired boss lives on in Hasbro management….
Did they just copy/paste from 'Corporate bullshit for Dummies'?
Acteon
Spot on.
What a load of mealy-mouthed corporate bullshit. It would be less offensive if it didn't sound so self-congratulatory when they've done nothing to earn it whatsoever. The guy can't even connect words to make a meaningful sentence.
Their product distribution and advertising is woeful. So what the f**k do they actually do for their money?
Chronix
I was half expecting them to say Hasbro products like Transformers will no longer be sold in the UK or something like that.
AkibaSilver
I think they've been seen at Smyths
WishfulThinking
Wow. That was so much corporate-nothing-speak I think he moved from nothing into the anti-matter universe…
Hanzkaz
Let's see. We got Onslaught, but I haven't seen any of the other Combaticons.
wildfly
Interview says nothing cause Hasbro UK haven't a clue what leftovers Hasbro INC will let them have.
scubaboy31
Didn't Bruticus scrape in at the last minute? I think we pulled off 2 combiners.
And Optimus Maximus but no one counts him.
jame5y
Well stores are still bursting with AOE figures, so good job boys
motorthing
He was probably referring to the Office Cleaners.
incapable hulk
“The team has done a phenomenal job in all areas."
HAHAHA.
Yeah, you know how we had an entire line centered around combiners….and we only got 1 complete combiner from a mish mash of 6 waves?
Not a phenomenal job, mate.
Mixmaster
Well, that was a whole lot of nothing.
Bass X0
I've already decided not to buy anything from the next movie. We haven't seen any of the toys yet and most of the characters, but I've given up on the movie-verse.
RKillian
It's the typical word salad spouted by people with no specific skills or connection to their industry.
He may as well have told us he's smurfing across the smurftom for the smurfiest smurf.
Shizuka
I can't wait to not buy the toys for the next film because they're poorly articulated chunks of plastic that insult children's intelligence.
motorthing
Brent-speak 101 signifying……….nothing.
It's Hasbro Uk, so that is massively typical.

Dave, any chance of getting Titans Return figures out to Leeds? Cheers mate. Luv Paul.
