To go along with our recently reported Deluxe class assortment sighting, we now have our first Voyager class sighting of the new Transformers Titans Return figures! This assortment features the return of the former Prime, Sentinel Prime as well as the sometimes insane, Galvatron! These two figures were found at a Toys R Us in Vallejo, California.

Found the deluxe and the Voyagers at TRU this morning. Before that I found and bought a set of the deluxe at Walmart but yes Galvatron looks bad ass.

Cedar-brook Walmart finally had something worthwhile there!
Grabbed 1 Scourge (he won me over), Hardhead and Blur. Leaving 2 Skullsmasher's, and 1 each of the others in TR wave 1 DLX's. Might return Blur though.
Gatchaman
They are at the TRU in Concord Mills in Concord NC too. They had a couple sets of deluxes and a sentinel, but galvatron was already gone.

Grabbed Galvatron and the 4 Deluxes at the Bakersfield, CA TRU store today. The receipt said promo on them so I imagine the $15.99 Deluxe and $24.99 for Voyager price I paid is temporary. My store usually charges $21.99 for the CW Deluxes and $32.99 for Voyagers.
$99.02 out the door so I'm glad Fort Max and Blaster weren't present! Almost passed on Skullcruncher and Hardhead but I'm glad I didn't. Really loving these, even Galvatron with the weird spring-loaded Scarlet Witch head band! Just ordered some old Kenner MASK stuff so I may have to curb those for the time being. Was planning on getting a Piranha, Switchblade and Boulder Hill this month in addition to the 99% complete and near mint Thunderhawk and Manta I just got but those can wait.
Been wanting some serious Headmaster stuff since I bought the Japanese only series on DVD last year. Chromedome finally! Just hope Brain Storm is easy to find but I do have the Voyager scale one in a pinch. Now to prune out the old versions of these characters we've gotten in Classics/Universe/Generations to recoup so money!

With some mods, the figure can definitely become miles better without the flip up gimmick.

Oh trust me, a growing number of people hate this gimmick on Galvatron and are betting on 3rd party fixing this issue along with a way to connect his cannon on the side of his arm instead of just on top (I'm hopping).
Does anyone who has this figure already mind uploading some pictures on him next to Classics Megatron?

I really want to like TR Galvatron, but since he was first revealed, I've hated the sunken face behind the spring-loaded crown. I was willing to accept the weirdly-allocated HeadMaster gimmick reluctantly because this is the best official G1-homage Galvatron made up to this point, and because it is far superior to the CHUG version. The idea of a mini-Megatron pilot/partner/head is a fun one, but it was poorly executed, and even Takara didn't save this potentially great mold. This could have been the definitive modern-era Galvatron, if only his noggin wasn't so derpy.
As much as I love my Energon & Superlink Galvatrons, this one "takes the crown", so to speak, as the G1 successor…except for the stupid head. It's my wish that a 3P will make a better head for him, and I wouldn't mind if it was only just a head and not a little bot. As long as it is cartoon accurate and color-matched, I'd be a happy TF fan.
That leads me to a question, does anyone think that the Galvatronus head from CW Cyclonus would be a good fit for TR Galvatron? Would it be too big, or might it just be the best & simplest solution for this issue?
WTB1
I found these as well…also the whole deluxe wave at TRU in North Carolina!
FAKER II
I checked my local TRU in Overland Park, KS and they had the deluxes. I just picked up Hardhead and Skullcruncher. They were $16.99.

The late 2016/2017 Generations sub-brand is called Titans Return, and the Deluxes/Voyagers/Leaders/Titan are all Headmasters (now called Titan Masters) and largely based on the 1987/88 G1 lineup, except no matter what -master Gimmick they had back then they are all headmasters for this line.
plus there is the $5 Titanmaster class which is an extra Head Robot with a small multipurpose vehicle/accessory.
Knightsword
Deluxe, Voyager, leader, and titan scales are all headmasters.
Hazekiah
I guess I'm a little out of the loop here.
Would anyone care to explain wtf is up with their detachable heads?
grim123
dont care for either of these where's fort max.
YoungPrime
Yeah….still not expecting to find these at retail anytime soon. There's been Walmarts in my area that've been practically empty of Generations TF figures all year. But if I do manage to find these guys out there I'll simply cancel my BBTS pre-order of both.

It begins.
