Newsarama.com has posted an interview with G.I. Joe vs Transformers writer Tom Scioli. The series is coming to an end this week with its 13th issue, which Sciolo mentions being very excited to “tell a complete start-to-finish comic-book tale exactly the way [he] wanted.” The full interview is a great read providing some terrific insight into the creative process and also what might be in store for future G.I. Joe and Transformers collaboration. Enjoy!

This book. This book. I will really miss this book. Such a fun ride.

Scioli is talented as hell. Is not everyone cup of tea but those who appreciates the Kirby-esque style enjoys it very much. This comic feels like when I was a kid playing with my GI Joes and Transformers alike.
I personally loved it and I'm gonna miss it.
Avon
Yeah, excited to see what he's referring to! What an awesome series.

Yes, this series was worth the most. Both in story and art. It was worth more than any other Transformers comic.
Well put.

Oh face palm, wrong thread lol
megatroptimus
Thank God it's over. Worst series ever, both story and drawings.
Satanatron
Successful?

Really going to miss this. Read a few reviews from people who got advanced copies. Nothing but praise. All the crazy you could want and then some.
Like Scioli said, "Mic drop."
Looking forward to tomorrow.

I'm so glad Scioli teased another Transformers/GI Joe work of some sort for next year. I wonder if it'll be that movie adaptation he keeps bandying about. Regardless, I'm excited for his next work. I have American Barbarian on my shelf to crack open when the post TF/Joe blues hit.

This series is arguably as bad for both franchises as Micheal bay is for transformers films.

This cover is beautiful. Some smart rhythm and composition here.

You and me both.

I haven't bought the single issues since like #2 or #3, budget became an issue, but I'm hoping this series gets a sweet oversized hardcover release. I'd be proud to own it.
SouthtownKid
Snake-Eyes in the Ralph Bakshi cartoon Spider-Man swinging pose is hilarious. Does whatever a Snake-Eyes can.
This is even doubly-true of the people making this comic versus the fans of today.
I also like that he started out as a fan of the cartoons as a kid, but on this project, developed an appreciation of Hama and Furman.

G.I. JOE VS. TRANSFORMERS Finale Has 'Kind Of A Mic Drop' | Newsarama.com
With the series ending this week, Newsarama's done a quite long interview with Scioli about everything TvJ. Some things of note are that Scioli says he's got one more Transformers and G.I. Joe surprise coming next year (I think it's the annual he talked about last year), and he also says he's working on something with another company's characters–can't wait to see what that is.
Also, I want a poster of this cover.
