We are not short of Transformers: The Last Knight filming news today.
Thanks to MLive, we now found out that Detroit’s Old Packard Plant is getting transformed as a set for the new movie.
The new set background is vaguely similar to the “Autobots Return” scene from Transformers: Dark Of The Moon.
“An array of giant metallic contraptions have landed at the long-vacant Packard Plant as preparations are being made for the filming of the next “Transformers” movie.
Among the crumbling concrete of the sprawling former Detroit automotive plant, scenes for the fifth Transformers movie, staring Mark Wahlberg, are beginning to take shape.
Two Chicago Transit Authority trains are positioned as if they careened off their artificial rail lines, and giant gears and machinery lie in pieces around the set.”
We’ve mirrored some images, after the jump.
Galvatross
My guess is that he probably didn't want to attract attention to himself in his injured state, so he waited until the Autobots and humans were focused on Sentinel and other Decepticons to make his getaway.
Either way, you're right in that it's not necessary, but at the very least I hope we get a "Decepticons reunited" scene where we see some of Barricade's thoughts about what has happened in the past.
Hazekiah
Yeah, Bethlehem, PA doubled for China that time around.
Shooting anything in Detroit is cheaper than filming almost anywhere else for obvious reasons.
Plus, TF:RotF is the only TF movie to NOT be filmed partially in Detroit and it still has yet to appear in any of the fil.s as itself.
Cosign!
Although, watching Barricade's finale in TF:DotM again, all he'd really had to do to escape alive is to lunge and swat around half-blind at the humans surrounding him until he'd cleared enough of a path to scamper off down an alley and scan in a new alt. mode.
So I'm not really sure how necessary a flashback explaining that would really be…but it's definitely a great idea anyway!
Galvatross
You know what? If this is a flashback to Chicago during DOTM it could be a scene showing Barricade and some Decepticons escaping Chicago after their leaders and the main forces are defeated. There should be a scene or two or three showing Barricade's survival regardless.

Yup looks really close. Add CGI
GabrielPrime
I'm not sure, it really looks the kind, even has the exact hole to match missing gun turret…

The set in Detroit
For some reason, this set reminds me of the beginning of "Beverly Hills Cop" when Axel Foley was undercover on the cigarette truck, going, "Read my lips, I need $5,000 !!!!", LOL!!!!
tonyformer
Well, there are China based sets being built for this movie lol.
Atomatron
lets film Chicago. in Detroit!
Dotmshockwave
Seriously, this honestly looks like a DOTM flash back scene. Especially with the Train cars now and the drone ships resembling the scene in DOTM. Who knows at this rate though.
Autovolt 127
This is just getting stranger and stranger each new day of filming.
Blot
I'm already more hyped for this movie than the last one
QLRformer
They did something like that for ROTF didn't they?
Anyway, here's to badass Bayformer battles.
tonyformer
Maybe. But it kind of looks that way.
Shark
Ooh, flashing back to the Chicago battle again, are we? Interesting.
tonyformer
Maybe not. Just looks like it's upside down to me and thats the belly that lockdown crawled up into after capturing OP. It's definitely a different style ship.
Red Goblin
It doesn't really look like that beside some tiny things.
tonyformer
Im probably totally wrong on this but doesn't that top pic of the larger looking ship, look very close to the "trap net ship" of lockdowns from AOE? The one that looked like a mini Ark?
This one? http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TVITvLeOz…BSAU/s1600/Lockdown_Medium_Ship_JoshNizzi.jpg
Red Goblin
Finally some hi-res set pics. Plus confirms a new bigger ship crashing into Chicago.
