IDW’s Tumblr account has posted up a look at the retailer incentive cover for Transformers Til All Are One issue 1. This RI cover features artwork by Transformers maestro Alex Milne and colors by the talented Josh Perez, and shows the main cast of Windblade, Chromia, Ironhide and Starscream along with the Combaticons! We’re particularly fond of the depiction of Starscream, illustrated in the middle of a maniacal laugh!
Check out the cover artwork attached to this post, and be sure to pick up this latest instalment into the Transformers mythos when it arrives in comic stores next week!

Yes!! As a big Combaticon fan, I'm dyin' over here. Wednesday can't come soon enough!
And yes, I've always felt for Blast Off. Even back in the 80's, it seemed like many of the Decepticon combiner teams had at least one individual with something that made me a little sympathetic to them. Dead End was depressed, Scavenger wanted people to know he was worth something, and Blast Off was the lonely Decepticon who masked how lonely he really was with an arrogant front. Over the years he's become one of my favorite Transformers, so I'm very interested in seeing how he is portrayed here. I just hope he's not like he was in Spotlight Arcee (he sounded like sadistic Vortex there, not aloof Blast Off).
Oh and yes- I love Blast Off's TFWiki page. Whoever wrote that opening paragraph gets a cookie as far as I'm concerned.
2003 Megatron
Cool.

Yeah, the Combaticons have always been a bit sympathetic. Heck Blast Off's TFWiki bio really paints him in a sympathetic light. From what it says for the TAAO issue 3 cover, it seems the Combaticons will be doing some rebelling seeing as it says Screamer is calling Onslaught a threat to world peace.
Autobot Hound
I'm hoping they are.
Lol, well… Ok, that might not happen. However, I would LOVE to see them as at least somewhat sympathetic. They always struck me that way in the original cartoon. They acted villainous but I could at least understand why they were angry. In FoC they came across as somewhat sympathetic, too. I've got my fingers crossed that they might be portrayed that way here as well. It seems like they're fed up with the way Starscream has tried to sweep Swindle's "death" under the rug. I can't blame them, if so. (I also don't think Swindle is actually dead.)
We know Blast Off and maybe the others has been spray-painting "Swindle Lives" around the streets. Maybe the Combaticons will be the rebels they usually are, this time rebelling against Starsream's "crooked government" or something. We'll know more in a week!

The way the Combaticons are placed on the main cover almost makes it look like they're the protagonists of the comic.

The best part about Mr. Milne is that he always trys to replicate the way the characters have already been drawn in their repsective books within the continuity. Makes me upset when certain guest artists draw characters in a non-mtmte design. Though it's never a huge issue and is very rare.
Autovolt 127
Starscream sure looks like he's enjoying himself.
Under Scott's writing, he'll be a mustache twirling villain anyways or the devil you just gotta deal with.
CapnScumbone
Does anyone else think that Starscream is actually NOT 'evil' anymore? He's doing right for his people and he has a conscience (even if it is possibly the ghost of Bumblebee), he even has a friendship with Wheeljack. He's probably a better leader overall than Prime, who is constantly embroiled in one personal crisis or another.

Love it.

I'll probably be too late to snap this one up from my comic shop, but maaan, that cover is fantastic. Milne is the best.

As a Combaticon fan I'm pretty stoked. I usually buy digital but I plan on getting the issue I linked above as a physical copy because of that cover.
And check out the cover for #3- all Combaticons:

That's so beautiful! Alex has done it again spectacularly! I hope he does TAAO's main cover for whatever volume. I do love his colourful looks.
ParaChomp
The Combaticons are on the cover? Now I'm anticipating this series even more.
Bumblebee2000
Stupid weakness to Alex Milne covers. Now I'm going to have to buy this.
It sure is fantastic though.

Oh my god. Right now my nipples could cut glass. Think that is the best Cover so far for the Windblade-Comics.

Great cover, always wondered what Milne's version of the Combaticons would look like. Can't wait.
