We’ve got another bit of release news to report – the Platinum Edition One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall set is out on Amazon. This set, which represents the climatic showdown between Optimus Prime and Megatron in the 1986 animated Transformers Movie, redecos both of the Classics Voyager class toys, so is a great way to get both of these toys without having to pay aftermarket prices on the originals.
For those wanting to get this set from Amazon for their collection, please be warned – we’re advised Amazon is shipping these in fitted cardboard boxes with no padding – so your box may arrive dinging, or worse. Buyer be aware!

And the upcoming Headmaster one is so clearly meant to be Blitzwing it isn't funny…and there are precious few Voyager options for him, whereas Prime has had quite a few toys at both Deluxe and Voyager scales.

I didnt know you could set a price alert! Is it a phone app or an Amazon feature? That would save me a lot of frustration!
alkamist
Yep, same here. For anyone that plans on getting this, don't waste your money on the standard packaging. The frustration free is more than fine. I got my set today, and they are in great condition. This time frustration free (however one interprets it) is actually better because the product is double boxed for added protection. Triple boxed if you count the one with the artwork on it.
I've always thought Amazon "frustration free" was so you don't get those hard to open clam shells where the product is molded into the plastic and it's almost impossible to get to and when you do the packaging is totally destroyed from the effort to open it. Frustration free sounds like throw the figures into a box or baggie, and send it off. Less packaging, cheaper! If so, no thanks, not interested. Haha!
If anyone remembers when the G1 Predaking reissue set went on sale at Amazon, some got theirs shipped in that same double box/brown box format, but I don't think there was a choice on type when ordering back then.

I own so many versions of that Prime mold, many I prefer to that version, so I can't bring myself to bite at 75 bucks. Unless it drops significantly at some point, I'll go without.
(Here that, Hasbro? An idiot that has nearly every repaint of this mold is passing on this one because of the price. That should tell you something.)
GizmoTron
I'm sure you're not the only one who doesn't like this toy, but when it comes to classic toys of Megatron, we haven't had really any options for a great one let alone in the Voyager scale. Between that and it being a ten year old toy, a lot of it's shortcomings are often forgiven.
SouthtownKid
I'm the only person to whom that Megatron looks completely ridiculous? I'll never get over some of the weird choices of molds this fandom gets behind, especially considering some of the perfectly good molds it chooses to blast.
Is it just that this Megatron turns into a gun that is letting people overlook how dumb the robot looks? Are we that starved for a gun Megatron?

True, but for some reason all the MP in-hand talk has ended up here as if there isn't even a review section. Those threads are sorta dead compared to the endless pages each one gets _after_ the fig has been released. Weird.

If my poor quality pics will do, I wrote a review here.
GotBot posted a video review here.
The blue panels do not look bad, per se, but they are…an unusual aesthetic choice, and one that not everyone will find pleasing.
…and before a mod says it, discussion of the figures themselves should be in one of those linked threads, not here.

Check out the review section.

I would lone for some pictures of this set properly transformed. I think Megatron look good in both modes and Prime is ok in robot mode if you pose him just right.

Well, it was also the cheaper option – the arm panels have always been clear plastic for no reason other than filling in two small side cab windows, but instead of having to work around shifting the color of the clear plastic wherever else it shows up, it was better to just leave all the paint off so at a passing glance, the robot looks closer to the traditional G1 model.

This logic never made sense to me. They arguably stand out more as opposed to the red paint allowing them to bland with the color of the arms.

You mean the Strongarm. That one came in the flavors "N-Strike Elite", "N-Strike Elite XD" and "N-Strike Elite XC Sonic Fire" thus far.
Meanwhile, these are all the existing color schemes for the Maverick thus far:
Zombie Strike blasters are all either green or orange. Doomlands 2169 has blasters in various shades of orange. Several N-Strike Elite XD blasters were also orange.
And yes, all scopes and sights have orange tips as well.
Smitty.1981
The gun in the center row on the left side is a modified Nerf Maverick the gun that this Megatron is based on. Also notice that all the guns that have scopes have orange tips on them. Furthermore Nerfs newest lines zombie something or other and post-apocalyptic something or other exclusively at Target both featured guns that are bright colors.

Just for reference of what's currently okay:
All of these are Nerf Blasters released in the past two or three years under the N-Strike Elite XD and Modulus lines, and still in production.

Anything that could be interpreted as a barrel needs to be bright orange. It's literally the law.
Seriously, would you rather have to take five minutes to paint a barrel black, or have children (and probably adults too) shot for carrying around what looks like a gun?
The law does exist for a reason.
StarFire_MK2
Interesting set, but the box artwork has nothing to do with the toys inside.
DarkEyes
Why those colors?
Thanks Primus, I bought Henkei version at the moment.
Autovolt 127
I'm good, I got the original versions of these guys, and Henkei Megatron too.
Pass.

Nah they could've painted just the outer shell red and have painted the robot accurately. And there is absolutely no reason the arm cannon has to have the orange cap because it is the sight on the gun not the barrel.
