The other day we received news of IDW and Hasbro starting a unification project called “Revolution” where Transformers, G.I. Joe, M.A.S.K., Action Man, Micronauts, and Rom would all be linked via comics. Thanks to Comic Book Resources, we have more details concerning the project in terms of relation to the film side of this melting pot of fiction as well as how the idea came about and how they plan on merging everyone into the five-issue series coming out in September.
We’ve mirrored some art from the comic series which you can check out after the jump, and the full interview with John Barber, Cullen Bunn, and Fico Ossio can be found here.

The first 3 issues do, but one was never made for the fourth issue.

Is there a discussion thread for each Revolutionaries issue? Like OP, LL & TAAO?
Danny-Boy
The Revolution event is definitely a "mileage-may-vary" story, but the universe it creates is an awesome one. Cross-book interaction is actually very minimal outside of various Joe members and Dire Wraiths.

I'm actually interested in seeing how the Transformers will interact with some of the other characters in their respective titles. However, I will admit to not being a huge fan of Revolution. Maybe that'll change after another read through, but that's just me, personally.

Revolutionaries #4 answered some questions and raised some new ones. I also love how all the 'Iron" named villains teamed up
Boatformer
AHM took place in 2008. Based on the Revolutionaries timeline, it can be assumed that Cobra Command/Nanzhao would have taken place in about 2009/2010.

1. Basically all of IDW's GI Joe was retconned to fit between All Hail Megatron and Revolution.
2. Yes. That's basically what happens. (See the Revolution Prelude linked above.)
3. I'm not 100% sure since I didn't follow IDW, but I think that is correct.
Black Convoy
Quick question guys. I jave jist finished reading all G.I Joe Pre-Revolution comics and I have some questions:
*Regarding All Hail Megatron, when does it happen in the G.I Joe continuity? Is it after or before Nanzhao battle?
*I assume at the begginig of Revolution GI Joe is coming back after they closed the EDC. Is that correct?
*No other events after Duke's last adventure in "The End Of GI Joe?
Dramatic Spoon
I'd prefer Thundercracker.
Skywarp might hit the ejectionseat or something.
Megastar
Wouldn't you?
Dramatic Spoon
Rock N Roll really wants to ride Skywarp, doesn't he?
Megastar
The Fatal Fluffies from G.I. Joe are now Inhumanoids in the comics.

Hahaha. Think this quote made my day.

everyone's always like "come on at least wait till the end of the arc before you judge the story" so fine from now on i'm reading them backwards
Boatformer
Personally, I liked the crossover precisely for that "wahey let's get all our toys together and have a big fight with them" aspect, but I'm very much aware that that's not for everyone. Fortunately it's not really an element of the other Hasbroverse stories, other than Revolutionaries, which at least gets to spend a bit more time on each individual story "nugget".
ZeroiaSD
You're the first other person I've heard of to read series backwards ^^ (I've only done it with manga, but still)
hardlurk
i just last night read the first volume of rom but i read it backwards from issue 4 to issue 1 because of reasons
rom is a delightful crazy person who has gone on a murder spree against what he believes to be a conspiracy of verminous parasites who are sapping humanity's blood and culture of vitality
Jalaguy
Anyway, anybody who is considering trying IDW Rom, I'd recommend the 2017 Annual as a good sampler. It's a solid (in my opinion, obviously), self-contained origin story for IDW's version of the character, and while it's not quite 'business as usual' for the book (much of it is set before Rom gets his armour), it does give you a good sense of the general tone and look of the comic. And it's spoiler-free for the rest of the series, should you like it and want to read the rest.
(You can get the FCBD zero issue for free still too, but that's just a short teaser without an awful lot of meat on its bones to judge the comic by.)
