IDW Publishing’s resident artist for Transformers More Than Meets The Eye has Tweeted out his version of the upcoming July issue’s cover. We have previously only seen the Rom exclusive cover to this issue. Alex has shared with us the penciled version of this comic (without the title) but also the colored version. The colors were done by Josh Perez.
Take a look at the cover by clicking the title bar!

Completely agree. As I posted in another thread:
Hoping he won't lose himself, but not holding out hope. Either way, he needs to fight.
Veritas Prime
It looks gorgeous and tragic at the same time.

The crew need – and we as readers need – Megatron to step up and kick some arse. But that is going to be at the cost of his redemptive journey and the personal stipulations he has forced on himself. In his head, if he brings the pain, where does he go from there? This Megatron really is an all or nothing kind of character, to the extreme that suggests he has a personality disorder (which the Fools Energon, we now realise, is helping balance).
Megatron's goals have always been the same: the best for Cybertron and its people. But the extremes to which he goes to are his Achilles heel. There's no balance to him.
He lurched from peaceful but subversive political treatise to trademarking the word violence, breaking planets and shattering billions of lives. He's now a lost pacifist on a suspended death sentence hoping that finding the Knights and restoring his planet can close his story. It's an unfathomable situation and Getaway is quite right in many respects despite being a prick. What Megatron is trying to achieve probably makes sense to him, but to the outside looking in it's crazy and it's wrong. Hence the mutiny.
So now we have the figurehead of the war to end all wars unwilling to take up arms when the crew desperately need him to. Not out of fear of dying as Rodimus, Ravage et al see it, but out of what we saw ourselves in 50, just bubbling beneath the surface and waiting to be let out. He needs to, they need him to, but he's afraid that he can't control that aspect of his character should he embrace it again.

There is a question mark on Megatron's forearm.

The flowers really represent how boring this series has become. The first 4 TPBs are some of my favorite comics. Afterwards ….

Maybe he's mourning himself. The death of the person he's become, based on decisions he'll make in 55. (although his spark is green. could have been an artistic choice to match the flowers shrug).
Napalm
Milne had this to say on Twitter regarding the image:
'The flowers don't just represent people he's directly killed remember.'
I'm thinking Ravage, especially given that guy's response to Megatron's actions at the end of #53.

Great cover.
WilyMech
Same here.

I think its Megatron's flower and this cover is an chrono-existential crisis. Where pacifist Megatron kills dictator Megatron but in the same act births dictator Megatron that undoes pacifist Megatron and results in horticulturalist Megatron. Eventually.
Nocturne
I really hope Alex is selling this as a print at TFNation. It's absolutely beautiful.
Rodimus Prime
Nice cover.
Could be. Perhaps all of those flowers in particular represent the TFs who Megatron has killed.
General Magnus
As long as Hasbro wants to push Galvatron as the moves bad guy, it will.
soundwaverulls
This is probably going to be the final issue of MTMTE I ever read, so I hope the issue's as beautiful as this cover is.
Weezie
That kicked puppy expression almost makes me feel sorry for him.
So Megs is bascially the IDW Transformers equivalent of Magneto? Extremely powerful but troubled.
Deezaster1982
Perhaps, since the previous Necrobot died, Megs gets the job?
Splendic
Megatron sacrifices Rodimus to save everyone and takes sole control of the small crew to go hunt down the Lost Light.
Yobuster
It is an amzing cover and like some other boardie who mentioned, it makes a good iphone wallpaper. This is one of the reasons why i continue to read Transformers Comics. its so good.
WoundSave
Seriously Alex can you and Andrew stop making such gorgeous covers so I can stop being forced to replace my lock screen and background images (which should be of my kids or something) with drawings like this?
