Perfect Effect has updated their Facebook page with details on an upcoming project, an upsized remold of their Master Sword for Titans Return Fortress Maximus! Over the past few days, we’ve seen some stock images of both Hasbro and Takara’s offerings, however no sign of any weapons. Not to say they won’t have weapons, but that’s left many on the fence as to whether they were buying Hasbro or Takara. Perfect Effect has remedied that conundrum by remolding their old Master Sword to make the larger handle able to be held by Titan class Fort Max as well as upsizing it to match his size, the sword now standing at 18 inches (46 cm). It is also said to have some diecast and will have a separate part of the blade that can be wielded by Cerebros.
No listings have gone up, nor has a price been set, but PC-13 has been slated for release in June, allowing for plenty of time to have it in-hand before Fort Max starts hitting retailers and mailboxes.

Just bought a Hasbro Fort Max, but I want the sword… is this sold out everywhere?

I wish the companies making Fort Max swords would include the extra-long handle used by Omega Prime / Godfire Convoy. :-/

Toybento.com was selling both the hasbro Asia and Takara master swords for awhile.

Hasbro Asia sword is $55, Takara sword is $36
Also I think there is a guy named dr Heisenberg making both a gun and sword for fort max, there's a thread on his stuff somewhere on the boards.

Bump to top . . . looks like I missed out on this. Is there any other alternative available?

I preferred the TAW god sword with its duel shields, kinda wish they'd used that idea again.
Where's PE's competition, is no other company making swords?

You mean redundancy?

Both of those are older MPs. I don't know which 3P figures you have, or how you bought them, but I've had 6 total issues with 3P figures out of around 100 figures compared to 4 issues with MPs with around 25 figures. A much worse ratio. Takara doesn't do anything for you if you have a problem. Hopefully the retailer can. Almost every 3P company will provide replacement parts through your retailer if it is a relatively new release. Some of them you can contact directly even for a part. The only one I can think of that just didn't care was KFC/XTB, though I don't know if that is still true or not.

You definitely have a point; but in this case it just seems like both sides are just trying to use anything they can to justify the decision they have clearly already made.
It's less parts, may have a larger run, and the old version was made when most 3Rd party companies only did add-ons so less expensive, it's bigger and has die-cast so more expensive.
Usually I'd agree with you though

You mean Hasbro's Fort Max doesn't come with a giant anime sword? They're never gonna win the giant robot battle between Japan with that attitude!
