A small image of Combiner Wars Liokaiser has been spotted at Botcon! Liokaiser is shown on the cross sell of one of the new Platinum sets revealed today, and we can see from the small image that Lio is using two Aerialbots for his arms, two versions of Brawl for his legs, and Sky Lynx for the body. Not only that, but also he comes with gunsaplenty, and his Legends companion is none other than an Arms Micron from the Japanese Transformers Prime line – marking the first non-TCC USA release of an Arms Micron. Check out the image attached to this post.

The torso's colors are a mix of Leozack's and Jallguar's colors. Plus red for some reason.

This is why I could never accept Combiner War's Liokaiser as what it claims to be. No. Fucking. Way. Liokaiser was always one of the most awesome combiners we never got in the states, and if this is the first time we get it in the west, then no I'm certainly not grateful for this subpar POS.
TFXProtector
If anyone will, it'll be Takara. They know there's a market for mass produced, affordable combiners to combat the 3rd party offerings out there.
People want to buy them, people feel a need to buy them, but the cost is usually prohibitive. Takara making mass produced CHUG versions should meet that need and line their pockets at the same time.
Win win.

Really hoping Takara can do the character justice in UW. Still new to Victory but I'm already liking how Liokaiser isn't your typical dumb brute combiner.
TFXProtector
After watching that clip, random is what I'm going with. The set has serious issues.
ma70er
It's really puzzling as how the colors thrown on the toy torso aren't even trying to match his actual appearance.

I realize the torso isn't Leozack but it's not even a passable attempt to mimic it. Where the hell did that black combiner head come from? 2-for-1 discount with Bruticus?
TFXProtector
Anime accuracy?
Bruticus was definitely due to that. I can't speak for Liokaiser, however, as I've never seen any of the cartoons he made an appearance in. (Perhaps someone who's well versed in this stuff could help?)
Or it could just be Hasbro doing something random.

What's the deal with different colored hands and feet? First UW Bruticus and now CW Liokaiser?
Wheeljack_Prime
I wouldn't complain too much if TT Leokaiser had a teal Silverbolt for Leozak, then included Black Swindle and Green Alpha Bravo as alternate limbs.
Where'd you hear that? It sounds highly unlikely, since they design the molds at the start of the line rather than two new ones every few months as new waves come out.

I have to agree and not to mention both Alpha Trion's and Deathsaurus's beast modes are WAY too different from each other to retool as well. I mean people may gripe about using the CW Sky Lynx mold for Deathsaurus but at least it has a better chance at capturing the beast mode there. So yeah unless Hasbro surprises us with huge amounts of retooling from the Alpha Trion mold into Deathsaurus I don't see that happening at all.

Should not be an issue as the combiner ports do not take up as much space as the combiner pegs. The ports are fixed whereas the pegs will need to have space allowance for them to be rotated.
From the pic, instead of a legends figure, seems that Hasbro's Liokaiser has a arms micron and extra weapons. Both Skydive's and Air Raid's weapons are pegged to Brawl and Nosecone, the right fist seems to have 2 grey cannons.

Wait, what?
How do these two look anything alike?
Sure, I can see some incredibly vague similarities, but nowhere close to a "100% match."
ma70er
There's also no reason to expect the two torso bots will be limited by the Scramble City design of the limbs since they will only be serving to form the torso and waist parts when combined.
With Bruticus out, Computron coming soon and Lynx Master shown, Takara needs to get their Decepticon version of Victorion finally revealed so we can move on to UW Liokaiser
AndreyOfDoom
CW Devastator handled that pretty well. The two bots that formed him could have been even better if they weren't designed that way to keep the costs down. The ports aren't visible really until you flip them out for combination.

Um, no.
If Takara is going to give me what I want, and Hasbro won't, then I'll buy accordingly. Hasbro has their reasons (many of them legitimate) for doing Liokaiser this way, but the legitimacy of those reasons does not mean that I cannot 1.) dislike it, 2.) find something better and 3.) talk about how the better version is better. I don't need to be grateful to a multi-million dollar corporation for doing something I found to be subpar.
The13Primes
Ok for all those saying 'Takara save me!' and 'Tfc is better'
Hasbro has a limited budget. Also unlike 3p they can't sell a $500 product and have it be profitable for them.
Takara may give you your 100% accurate Liokaiser but just be grateful this is happening!
PredaconElder
Hasbro would never do it because Deszaras/Leozack is too obscure a character to remold Alpha Trion when you have a litany of b/c-list characters like Vector Prime or Leo Convoy. Lynxmaster -> Leozack/Deszaras likely only happened because they were scrapping the bottom of the barrel trying to find an alternative combiner to justify Sky-Lynx/Lynxmaster.

Are you talking about Sky Lynx's sword-guns that are up on the shoulders in this image?
MatrixOfWumbo
TFC's actually has that problem with their {black crotch robot}.
