Cripes, this thread reminds me that I have a Trianix Alpha that I still haven't opened!

Yeah bbts sent me another one. I, while waiting for the replacement did some work on the broken one and put a few dabs of super glue here and there and tightened it up and then modified the screw so the waist could turn. I actually ended up making the broken one to the point where I could easily detach it but it would not come detached just through normal posing and moving it around. I was hesitant to open the other one just to have it break so I ended up selling it to a friend of mine

Happened to mine also but BBTS replaced it. Now I have one in robot mode and one in vehicle mode because I will never ever attempt it again. It requires entirely too much force to separate the pieces, even when attempting it it’s uncomfortable and just feels bad. If you buy this my advice is to just look at it as an Action Master or something because the transformation is just awful.

How did this turn out? I'm coolly mulling over the purchase

View attachment 29063688 Well I got him new from bbts, I think after 4 years the plastic on the internal gray waist clip must have hardened and become brittle because at first it was impossible to separate and then once I did one tab broke off and then the other. I am going to try to return him but since he also has the secondary waste joint I might just try to thicken the peg up so it holds in firmly and use the upper waist joint.
Any ideas?

I was thinking about getting this from bbts because it's on sale does it hold up pretty well? Is it a pretty good figure?
Ozymandias13
Yeah, but then the 'wrong' sword edge is presenting forward. And then you lose the gun option entirely.
Beta Maximus
He can hold the sword in either hand. There is only one slot in the handle , but you just spin it around

I nabbed Atlas off BBTS about 6mos back on sale and he's quite keen for the most part but the fact he can't carry his weapons in any manner except gun in right hand, sword in left with shield on left forearm irritates me. From the way the hand tabs are designed to fit they went out of their way to eliminate the possibility of altering that load-out and I can't fathom why. It's such a Mattel-ian thing to put a lot of effort and material into making a toy *less* playable.

Just pulled the trigger on this at $58 at BBTS – super excited to add him to the MTMTE shelf.

I was able to disassemble the forearm; had to to tighten it.
couple screws and an exacto/hobby knife
It was weird bc of how it was put together
EDIT:
Pulled mine out of box to remember how to do it.
both forearms are copies of each other to reduce parts count: left half of left arm is left half of right arm; ditto for right half of each forearm
the left half has a raised ridge with two slots. On the left arm, that’s where the shield plugs in
look closely and that raised ridge has a seam that shows u it is a separate part.
it needs to be removed but it is a very tight fit. There might have been glue, I don’t remember.
take a hobby knife and wiggle it into a gap; wiggle it along the seam gradually until the raised piece comes off
once it’s off you should be able to just remove screws and separate the forearm halve
EDIT 2:
Early copies of the first version of this mold, Trianix Alpha came with a defective waist attachment that was TOO TIGHT and would break. They sent out revised pieces to fix the issue
dia-z has a fixed waist connection but it is still tight.

I just got mine and love him however there’s 2 issues; the bottom elbow joints are floppy messes, usually I would add clear polish but I can’t see a way to disassemble the forearm. Also, the waist separation for transformation is tight, like “I think I’m going to break something” tight, I watched a few tutorials abd looked at the instruction manual and I feel as though I’m missing a trick.
Beta Maximus
Indeed. He is super non idw, but the height is right.

…which cylconus is that?..

I just want a nova prime. It's a small crime the siege galaxy prime didn't get that white repaint.

I dislike how they made Jhiaxus a stooped over, Igor looking troll with dinoarm syndrome in the newer format.
