We’ve received word of new Transformers: Robots In Disguise themed Kinder Eggs! Kinder Eggs are chocolate eggs that contain small mini-figures inside the chocolate treat, which Transformers has partnered with in the past.
The first new item is a Kinder Easter Egg with two possible figures: Optimus Prime or Bumblebee that come with a launcher, plus a Decepticon target made out of paper.
The regular Kinder Surprises have seven possible prizes: six articulated robots (Strongarm, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Grimlock, Optimus Prime, or Steeljaw) or a pack of stickers.
These Kinder Eggs are being sold for Easter, but only have been spotted in Brazil so far. If you’ve seen them elsewhere, let TFW2005 know by posting in the discussion thread!

Oh dear Gods, American's make me laugh! On the one hand you can't give a kid a Kinder Egg because they might choke on the unusually large pod in it, but it's perfectly fine to let them fiddle with a gun! Utter madness!
On topic. This is kinda weird to me. Right now we have a promotion for My Little Pony and TMNT. I would have thought that releasing the TF ones alongside the MLP ones would have made more sense. Oh well. Hopefully we'll get the TF ones sometime soon and I can, once again, spend an insane amount of money trying to find the one elusive toy. Last time it was Soundwave!

So, basically it's a law set to protect one corporation from competition with another? Lulz.
I loved Kinder surprise since I remember. Long time ago they had neat things like an entire Asterix comic and animated movies cast.
Never choked on it and when parents gave me a first one of these… They did not tell me about the toy inside to not spoil anything.
Also, parents should be watchful about their kids. Law can't protect people from their own failings.
But hey, I live in a place where nobody gives a **** about orange caps on toy guns (they're technically required if a toy is lifelike enough but can't recall if I ever saw it enforced) and EU regulations don't go behind making sure that a toy isn't falling apart or toxic.

Why would any parent allow their kid to stuff a whole egg-sized chocolate in their mouth???
It is not the chocolate's fault for your or your parent's poor judgement.
I watch my 2 year old nephew try the same thing with food. We always stop him from doing it.
They are not "illegal" they are banned from import. Some places seem to get around the ban.
We can thank the Mars candy corporation for it.
I brought some through with no problem. However if I was randomly searched I'm not sure what they would have done.
Why are Kinder Surprise eggs illegal in the USA? | Features | Lifestyle | The Independent

These things should be banned worldwide. I nearly chocked when I was 5. Hated them ever since.

Well, maybe if American kids didn't inhale food like Kirby…

had to read this like three times before i got it.

As far as I know, the reason kinder eggs are banned in the USA is because it is illegal to sell food stuffs with non edible things inside. There is an old tradition in the UK of cooking Christmas puddings with a six pence in, who ever received this in their serving had good luck( really good luck if you didn't choke on it), so I can understand why these things would be a no no, but to be honest an adult would be hard pressed to swallow the yellow pod found in kindred eggs.

You mean the bowlegged ones? Circular or w/e?
I like the figurines of Bee & Prime from RID. somehow I doubt they.would stand up selling at $10 each though. Maybe 5.99 each (I'm talking in store. Which as we all know is banned now for whatever reason. Probably due yo.small parts & children)

I want to try those

In the general run of Kinder Eggs, the Bumblebee and Optimus Prime are the same model from 2015 "Transformers Prime" Promotion. They have this weird cog based construction system where you can swap parts of the transformers with other transformers.

Why they're banned in US?
Anyway, looking forward to regular eggs with TF minifigs.

I thought they were legal again?

It's a shame they ban this stuff in America.
