Autovolt 127
I can agree with this.

I have to say, this current arc is the first thing I've been irritated with since the Costa run. Probably because it's continuing to remind me of everything I hated about Costa's run.
1) Humanica, FUCK YEAH! Seriously, if we can reverse engineer advanced alien technology in a matter of months, complete with power cells capable of firing a human-sized weapon with enough power to nearly kill MEGATRON, why the fuck isn't this Earth at Star Trek tech levels by now? I know comic science has always been bullshit, but my suspension of disbelief cannot handle this.
2) Mopius Prime. Honestly, I thought the return of Optimus Prime in Dark Cyberton meant this was finally OVER. But no, more crippling self-doubt. Made more annoying that I'm clearly being told how wrong Prime is by damn near everyone. I feel like I'm reading Marvel's Civil War again.
3) Human Stupidity. Seriously? Allying with Decepticons? AGAIN? They nearly destroy the Earth wearing a big Purple badge on all their chassis', and yet because one guy says "oh, that was Megatron, and he joined the Autobots! You can TOTALLY trust us now!" is BEYOND moronic.
Since they're using the Decepticon Menace as a clear proxy for the Terrorist Hysteria of the early 21st century, let me translate this metaphor. Do you honestly think that if the Islamic State came to us and said "all the bad things they did was one guy's fault, and he went and emigrated to England. You should totally provide us support and even join in an allianceto go invade them! Evidence? We've got some photo/video showing him wearing their logo! Why no, of course it's not doctored!", that we'd even LISTEN, much less enter into a military alliance with them?
Please.
4) Spike. Just…. Spike. I actually liked him BETTER under Costa. He was a womanizing egotist, but it was a deconstruction of the Military Action Hero archetype. Poorly done, imo, but I understood it, and even liked it half the time. THIS Spike is just a smug, paranoid asshat, with the few redeeming qualities of his earlier incarnation wiped away
I tolerated it through the last arc, because I was curious to where it was all going, but issue 50 nearly got ripped in half by the end of it. This preview wasn't much better. I think I'm just going to stick with MTME until this garbage is over.
Skeeve
Great, it's Prowl. The black hole of excitement.
Negativedark
Ah Comics Prime. Just as long as he doesn't commit suicide over a video game again.
To be fair Alpha Bravo wasn't actually hurt.
Let's be honest. Who reads/watches Transformers for the Squishies? Anyone?
Let us remember a quote Optimus said when the Arielbots were first made in the cartoon.
"No. One Autobot gave his life so that six may live."
So they do count the combined form as a seperate individual from the components. It'd be interesting to see the relationship between the combined form and the components explored.
Sockie
Yes, it's been implied/stated that it's pretty much like death for them. Superion was grieving for Optimus Maximus when it became clear his components wouldn't combine again.
nstanosheck
I hate all the humans. I only like robots. I'm so racist 😉
nstanosheck
Wasn't there worries that the Combiners did not like to separate once combined?
Sockie
All of the other Aerialbots got shot, too. Alpha Bravo's not exactly being singled out…
And we'd actually found out Spike had a sister way back in the Costa ongoing.
Autovolt 127
Of course Alpha Bravo gets shot.
and Spike has a sister….oh dear.
General Magnus
Aerialbots versus Mig-21s is like a half-dead hamster versus the strongest man in the world.
battlefudge
Hey look they took prime in a new direction: He is haunted by self doubt and loathing. Oh wait.
The return of mopius prime
Haywired
Camiens.
Windblade was warning Optimus that some of her people display, let's say, a bit extreme level of beliefs.
Prowl won't be back to being a Prowlastator. This thing is finally done. And justly so, because keeping Prowlastator so long after its story arc wasn't the best idea and it did contribute to Prowl's character derailement.
Negativedark
Well this may be at least partially Prowls fault. Remember two wrongs don't make a right. And Prowl could walk into Blurr's bar, order a light energon spritzer, and somehow still end up causing multiple deaths, a riot, and Starscream getting elected leader of The Galactic council. Because the universe hates Prowl.
WilyMech
Let me say Spike has a sister?
There something strange about Aileron. I mean I am not the most sensitive person in the world. She was close to Sterling and Optimus tried console her for her lost. I would allow a chance to grieve with him. "He died for his beliefs?" I mean you were close as in possible Amica Endura.
Grimlockimus
The Lorax approves.
Chaotic
If it was just the bond, where are their other gestalt mates?
I think they've both been effected by the recent dissolution of a million year old working relationship/friendship that survived the war but not the peace.
Unless you mean those visions could be psychic attacks Prowl is using against Prime while he's resting? If so, I agree. Prowl's dream was his own bit if that is an option open to him, I could easily see the former autobot SIC attempting to manipulate him that way.
That would not go well for anyone involved. A well-rested Optimus Prime is prone to poor decisions. I shudder to imagine the horrors he'll get up to if he's denied his Primely beauty sleep.
Megastar
I think that's being caused by their combiner mental link.
Oh, wow I just notice that.
Purple Heart
I'm glad the fact that Optimus' actions are the result of being part of Gestalt mind are being brought up so early. I eagerly await to see his internal struggle. Love Starscream popping up out of the dirt though.
Haywired
This part with Autobots seeding the desert reminds me of Avengers vs X-Men and the Phoenix Five fixing things.
Didn't work very well in the end…
Fallout
starscream appearing out of the dirt seems strangely appropriate.
so the aerialbots are dropping creeper bombs to spread trees..?
