Wil Wheaton's joining the Transformers franchise.

Got my friend the Magic the Gathering Arena of the Planewalkers game for his birthday because he wanted to get back into table top gaming. Haven't had a chance to play but from the unpacking I was really impressed with the effort Hasbro put in to make it at least look really cool.
No idea what is planned for Transformers but with tabletop games coming back into fashion I've got my fingers crossed for a box full of insanely cool stuff.

Every card game is broken, how else does a company makes there money why else do you think I quit Cardfight Vanguard! But anyways I hope this is something like Transformers D&D that be really awesome.
NeilJam
Hasbro also owns Wizards of the Coast which makes D&D and MTG.

I've been begging for a good Transformers tabletop game. Star Wars Risk is proof Hasbro came make a decent game and get something out there that's not just monopoly or any other main stream junk
chaosanderson
knowing my luck it'll probably be something extra stupid like Transformers Pie Face.
Hope it actually turns out to be something neat

Oh shit, I forgot about tragic the gathering.
I'd put IRL money on this being Magic related – which if its a good game would be kinda cool. It was always kinda disappointing magic was such a ballache to get into since it had all the ingredients of a great game, piled ontop of a shitty meta and a wallet shattering faberge-pokemon cost of entry.
No disrespect to magic players ofc, but that game is broken.
Novaburnhilde
Yes please.

That would probably be the coolest thing ever!
Don't get too excited tho dudes – Since Hasbro own monopoly I'm fairly sure it'll be a variation on that, or at least one of the old Milton Bradley or Parker properties.
Underlord
Those are really good ideas, I'd love for them to release more attacktix type figures
Antz
This is potentially exciting.
I mean, they literally have table-top ready stats to go along with almost every figure they've ever released. You'd think they'd do more to integrate that data into a fun gaming experience. Hell, incorporate the figures too.
Thelonicon
Interesting. I wonder if it will be a new system or if they will reskin/revise an existing one. (e.g. Like a new variation on RISK even though they had a TF one before, or the Transformers Armada game being a reskin of Star Wars Epic Duels, or the new Magic the Gathering board game being a revision of Heroscape.)
I wouldn't expect them to do an RPG. Otherwise it would probably be handled in their Wizards of the Coast division. Although admittedly I'm making these assumptions off of practically zero information.
FanimusMaximus
Dungeons and Decepticons?
DrOblivian
I wonder what type of tabletop game it will be. The specifics are going to make or break it.
artiepants
Well, I am certainly curious!
