A piece of Transformers history has surfaced as an auction listing earlier today for original production storyboards from the 1986 Transformers The Movie. This full set of over 500 total pages (each page has content on the front and back) comes courtesy of The Spacebridge, who is parting with this incredible item along with other paperwork from the Generation 1 era.
Some more information from the auction listing:
This is an original production used set of storyboards for the 1986 Transformers Animated Movie. I have owned these for over 20 years, I obtained them from a former Sunbow staff member. This is the only known set of movie storyboards in existence that were actually used in the production of the movie. Other sets known to exist were reference sets, this one was actually used in the making of the film. I am only selling these as I have another signed set that belonged to one of the writers. The storyboards are over 500 pages long, each page double sided. The storyboards were created to plan out the design of every shot in the film. This set is marked FINAL Jan 29th 1986. It includes the entire film and some deleted scenes. (It does not include ALL the known deleted scenes as some had already been cut by this point) The set does have some handwritten notes, mainly in red ink on some pages that were made during production. The set does have some minor wear & wear to the edges, it is 30 years old! A rare opportunity to get an amazing Transformers holy grail item. Please note this is very heavy, shipping will be by DHL courier due to the rarity and weight. If you need any more information just ask. Lots more pictures below, take a look!
Take a look at the photos provided of this rare piece of Transformers history and of course check out the auction listing here.

wow, what a price! I scanned the second generation copy of the storyboards I bought from someone on the boards a couple of years back; if anyone can suggest a location for them to go, I can look into uploading them?

I'm hoping that whoever wins this….they will do like those binders that were auctioned off a while back and share with the community. This stuff should see the light of day!

Do you have any more photos or video comparisons between what ended up in the film and what's in the storyboards?
I wish you good luck in getting a good price on this, you've always been a huge source of really neat information for the rest of us.

I won't be suprised if it jumps over 10K in the last hour It is a really cool item, unless Spacebridge sells his other one, I doubt you'll ever see one again go up for sale.

Less than 24 hours to go. I still think it'll hit just over $10k, but we'll see. I guess $7k-$8k is more realistic.

Best of luck to the winner.
Woah that's pretty awesome.
I wish they kept it in but then that would disrupted the flow of the Touch fight.

I'm kinda surprised how high its gone, I researched some other story boards, but guess Transformer Fans just have that much more money to spend

The bid won't go that far, maybe a $1000 more

This is where a classy person would wish the bidders good luck. I have no class, so I hope you all step on a Lego block with your bare feet.
