As 2016 progresses, so does the checklist of Combiner Wars boxsets available at retail. Combiner Wars Victorion may be the next one to be checked off on that list as Amazon.ca now has the Torchbearers boxset listed! In addition to the listing hinting at her imminent US release online and at local retail, we also have official photos of the team sporting their updated color scheme with a more muted green.
The Torchebearers boxset is “temporarily out of stock” for now, but she’s listed at CDN $149.99 in the link above and will probably go up on US-based sites soon; so keep your eyes peeled and stay tuned to TFW for more news on Victorion!

I so dig this transformation.

Defensor got a sex change.
Also, this reminds me of the hilariously mistransformed G2 Menasor legs.

I find it absolutely hilarious that you are trying to get people to be civil, while attacking bellpeppers. This is so fun to watch. And GoLion, this is me being civil. I have done nothing wrong. Are you trying to suppress my opinion?

yes they are, though i found a way to lock them into place quite well. only mold i've been able to lock the extended leg position though.
At the end of the arm right where the rotor blade is connected you notice that there are ridges that jut out on either side at the very front of the rotor piece, the end looks kinda like an arrow.
you can lock this "arrow" RIGHT in between the hollows on the copter molds knee armor things. the legs snap together like normal and the rotors will not come undone. This locks the whole figure in this configuration together like a charm. (for some reason the blades mold inst AS hollow in the knees and has a bit different molding than AB, but it will still lock and hold tight.)
The only issue is that this makes the leg crooked and leans forward. The PE feet fix this though because of the balljoint ankle, you can position it back slightly to fix the lean and have the combiner port nice and straight.
however using the same piece, instead of locking the arrow ridges in you can just rest the shaft of the rotor piece between the knees, this isnt AS extended as locking them as the knees are bent more, or as stable, but this doesn't cause the leg to be crooked. while still being the most stable version of "extending the legs" on ANY CW deluxe mold even without locking them. in this configuration the blade get out of the way much better too as they tuck under the armpits of the figure.

Are the two helicopters extended as well? The G2 Menasor pics showed him with both legs "out" and it seems like their joints wouldn't be stable enough to hold the rest of the combiner up.

I'm game. Hope to see it when you get her.
DrOblivian
so who wants to see the ridiculous way I'm going to display Victorion when i get her?
EXTEND ALL THE LEGS!

I voted Victorion because it felt like it'd be the most flexible given we didn't know what she'd look like at the time.
"Slammoth" and "Quakebreak" were awesome, but looking at the figure we got neither seems like it'd have fit. That said, I hope we see them both pop up again on new characters soon.
WishfulThinking
I picked Victorion because it reminds of gestalt names from the Brave Series. I voted for a male team.

So, what exactly are feminine attributes?
What i've gotten from these last 26 pages is that there are no actual physical characteristics that seperate the masculine from the feminine. Is that the conclusion?

RobotKingdom now taking preorders, expect the other usual suspects to follow suit soon.

Man this is the largest thread I've ever made. I've been popping in and out, and honestly I don't have any real problems with Victorion. The colors threw me off at first, but im fine with them after I've acclimated to them. I think they work perfectly fine as female toys, they're alien robots so I never really thought they needed to be curvy or a certain body type like a human. I'm behind on the non MTMTE comics, so
I can't say much for her personality, but what I've heard so far seems ok, not as interesting as many other characters but good enough. As for her design, I think it's totally fine. There aren't many TF designs I don't like, and they all have solid design bases. I think she looks like a cool set of toys that I will definitely be picking up to mix and match, the unified color scheme really helps with the visuals of the toy. The only real gripe I have is just in general I'm a bit fatigued by the combiner wars molds, but not enough to not enjoy a fresh new combiner. It's a nice departure to get someone new rather than retread old characters all the time.

that's my thing, this doesn't look like "rust" to me, it's more orangey so I'd call this orange red. I really think a brownish red combined with a coppery verdigris green (think statue of liberty with a touch of copper in it) would have been a less garish color scheme
the gender discussion has been pretty dull as it's a shortened version of the original lengthy and repeated debates on the original Victorion thread. TF's can follow any random body type (hey Whirl), and the stocky ones are no less valid as females then Windblade. The failing here is relatively minor retools that do little to speak to gender, other than the heads (great work). All in all I think the "let's intentionally create new females" thing was a stunt. More gender parity is good, but it feels like a token effort as individual combiner bots get less development than say… individual bots. Would have been more effective to have more individual females that have their own, more distinct personalities and development. I think it would have been a more interesting point on gender if a mixed gender team combined and the female personality takes dominance in the gestalt.
if Hasbro really wanted to turn things on its head, it'd just make what were previously male bots, female in a new series. It took me a while to accept Starbuck as a woman as I was a fan of the original Battlestar Galactica, but the gender reversal on an iconic character spoke to me more than if they just added random female crewperson X to serve as a partner to Apollo.
All in all Victorion is what she is, love her or hate her… but yeah I still regret we didn't get a big dumb brute of a female named Slammoth and challenge the conventional view of "feminine"… I think we played right into Hasbro's hands by naming her Victorion (a practical homophone for Victoria)… and for all we know the votes didn't matter and Hasbro had already picked the name that they knew we'd subconsciously associate with a female and wanted to get rid of their surplus orange/red plastic and make the AB mold pay off. and yeah, I know this is a conspiracy theory.

Oh snap! That's a great idea, I'm gonna have to get Hasbro's Onslaught now, though I still want to have the same chest plate that she has originally. Hmm… I'll have to see if I can frankenstein it somehow. If not, partsforming for the win!
ma70er
What about the Bruticus chest plate? Painted in her colors, I think it could work. Going to have to wait till June though… can't sacrifice CW Onslaught till his replacement comes in.
Archon Shiva
My Rook is female, as is my Hasbro Blast-Off. They look female enough to me.
Strongarm is cool. Road Rage is cool. Victorion is cool. Once in a while I find a toy repulsive (Breakdown has 'Racing 15' on his windshield, I hate that!), and I don't buy it.
