Weibo user Zmulitplier has brought us yet another image of an upcoming Transformers product tonight, that being a colored photo of Combiner Wars Computron‘s artwork!
Unfortunately, the image is once again cropped, but it does give us a good look at half of his color scheme. From what we can see, and assuming this artwork is indeed accurate to what the toy will look like, it appears as though the Scattershot included in this set will feature a slightly more G1-accurate color scheme in torso mode – most notably on his head, gun, and various chest details. There does not seem to be any new sculpting, however. We also get a glimpse at what Afterburner and Lightspeed will look like in their colored limb modes.
Hopefully we’ll be seeing all of these and more fully revealed soon at New York Toy Fair.

This gave me a good laugh. Well done. And this is not sarcasm.

That's because he's really all about pro Takara [domestic] anti Hasbro so it's no surprise at all.
Kurome
It seems the colors are going to be spot on with this set.. and the legends minion really is a golden cosmos wow I'll sure be getting this

computron
ah i'm waiting for the g2 Menasor set
MatrixOfWumbo
It is, but at this point it would have to be a highly elaborate hoax to be a haoax at all.
dinoman98
looks cool but I heard that this is a rumor
Hanzkaz
I'm hoping Takara does just that.
GizmoTron
That's because UW Bruticus is from Takara. They gave it a new arm and some paint, and magically all of the problems from the Hasbro version just disappeared.
Just watch, if next year Takara announces Computron with a new combiner head, this will suddenly change from "utter crap" to "another great collectible from the company that cares about it's fans".
combaticonsfrvr
He didn't complain about UW Bruticus. That's the only thing he hasn't complained about. He was actually really happy about it, to my surprise.
Murasame
Looks still like the Silverbolt repaint.
shumworld
I really hope it's a retool of Breakdown and not another Deadend.
shumworld
Yeah I've always wondered that too.

I think it makes sense; to an extent. Seeing as FOC Bruticus was a bit recent and Defensor hasn't gotten a real update since the original (not counting the Micromaster) it kinda makes sense to do him. It also gave them the convenience to make Onslaught from Hot Spot (which, while I do feel there are certain things that carry over poorly like the light bars and the thigh positions, overall works because of how similarly the originals transformed.)
I'm still more baffled by the fact that they didn't give Bruticus a new fill in member and mirrored Defensor. It feels like with more time they could've made a new mold. I almost wonder if they could've made a Strafe mold, done it up as a new Combaticon (even though it'd break the otherwise realistic alt modes), then reshell that as Blastoff.
In either case I still feel they should've done a Legends Blastoff and made him a chest minion.

Well, seeing as you're posting in a thread that's discussing a picture of an upcoming Hasbro Computron that has the Groove mold used as Afterburner (as seen in this very image), I'd say that's a safe guess.
MatrixOfWumbo
I'm frankly surprised that Defensor came out before Bruticus. Menasor and Superion are safe bets because "buncha jets" and "buncha cars" is a good foundation for future figures. Bruticus is the famous Scramble City Combiner that everyone knows, you'd think he'd be first up after that.

….and now i need three boxsets…..one for regular computron, one for double up-enning!!!
T-Hybrid
I'm referring to the guy he was quoting.
KatherineT37
Just guessing… but if Takara's Groove comes to the states, I bet you it will be retooled as Afterburner.

Split I wish I could sig this whole post.
