TFW2005 member Bumblebee765 has left us a report of a new IDW collection book after browsing through Barnes & Noble’s website: Transformers: The IDW Collection Compendium, Volume 1.
This release will contain some of the earlier IDW stories, as seen in the item description:
The Transformers universe is vast and full of ongoing conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons. A war that stretches across the galaxy and throughout time. These tales-from IDW’s timeline of events-re-present the saga as it unfolded. From Cybertron to Earth, this is the story of The Transformers. Included are The Transformers: The IDW Collection Volumes 1 and 2 containing Megatron Origin; Spotlights: Blurr, Cliffjumper, Shockwave, Nightbeat, Hotrod, Soundwave, Sixshot, Ramjet, Ultra Magnus, Kup, Mirage, and Optimus Prime; and Infiltration, Stormbringer, and Escalation.
This comic collection will be available on June 1, 2016 at a retail price of $79.99 USD.

Nice! Thanks. I jumped on sometime around 2011, so this would be a must-buy for me.

IDWs collections have always been ridiculously overpriced at full MSRP.

Yes, the stories before the stories that made them split into MTMTE and Robots in Disguise or in other word the first IDW transformers comics.
764 pages of Infiltration, Stormbringer, Escalation, Megatron Origin and Spotlight vol 1 and 2 in a softback.

From well, well before that. This compendium goes from 2005 to 2007ish. MTMTE and RID started in 2012.
PostwarOcean
So, are these the IDW comics from before the title was split into MTMTE and Robots in Disguise?

TRANSFORMERS IDW COLLECTION HC goes to vol 8 followed by TRANSFORMERS IDW COLL PHASE 2 vol 1-3 with vol 3 (latest one)collecting
More Than Meets The Eye #9-13 and the 2012 Annual, Robots in Disguise #9-11 and the 2012 Annual, plus the Thundercracker, Bumblebee, and Megatron Spotlights
Which makes this for now the complete IDW content HC to date.
Makes this a expensive softback

Compendiums are usually softback, so it's different from the hardcover. It reminds me I need to start looking up the IDW hardcovers, because I'd love to have the entire run in nice fancy hardcovers… Maybe that would even get me to sell off my single issues.
ExtremeGz
To be totally honest with you, I'd like to have something with ALL of the IDW transformers content up until the new stuff.
Pfg80
Like they already did with TRANSFORMERS IDW COLLECTION HC VOL 1-4 which are still available.

I want it but just for some spotlights, escalation, and storm bringer I kinda wish they would re-release an volume for stormbringer and maxium dinobots as I do not have them D:

I actually don't yet. I've been wanting to get around to getting the collection hardbacks, but I always seem to have other books to buy, and now I'll probably wait to see if this will have a hardback edition to go along with the paperback.
Turakonin Prime
Right? Lol but its tempting if you're a die hard collector
Pfg80
So they are doing the Premiere Collection again. So how many times did they release the first IDW stories now? Is there still someone out there that don't own these?

I'm not sure if this has been reported on before, but I was looking through the Barnes and Noble website, and saw a listing for this: Transformers: The IDW Collection Compendium, Volume 1 by Nick Roche, Eric Holmes, George Strayton, Shane McCarthy | | 9781631406379 | Paperback | Barnes & Noble It says it's the first two volumes of the regular IDW collection.
I searched for a thread on it, but couldn't find anything on here, nor could I find anything about it on tfwiki.
