Following the end of the Transformers: Robots In Disguise tie-in Comic Book series, IDW will run a series of Comic Books adapting the current animated series.
This move should not come as a surprise since IDW did exactly the same for the Transformers: Prime animated series as well. If the new series follows the old format, we will see a comic book designed by arranging screenshots from the show with added speech-bubbles.

I wish they would do a cartoon adaptation of the Transformers RID comic – so far it's done everything that I'd like the show to do. Mostly because I liked TF Prime a lot better and I felt it ended prematurely.

Something to get the kids excited about. My son was devastated that the comic had ended. He'll like this.

I'm 100% sure this is just going to be a "screencap comic" that uses images from the show, released in the form of small pocketbook graphic novels. They did them for Animated and Prime, and I see no reason to assume that's not the case here. Nothing to be excited about, sadly.

Hmmm… that was listed in the December solicitations for December 16th release, but must have been pushed back a couple months.

Hopefully the kids will like this new RiD 201x comic more. My son loved Transformers: Prime and loved how the previous Transformers: RiD 201x comic tied in to it.

At this point they're just looking for a ways to justify taking the "RID" from John Barber's book in the first place.
As much as I hated "TF Prime" it was far better than this show was. Which most people would agree, so they're just waiting for that CW cartoon Hasbro announced last year or whatever over show they have lined up to replace this.

The book unfortunately did not sell, and this is a super cheap way to make a comic that will be viable.

Awesome! Thanks SilverOptimus!

To me this change just looks like a middle finger to both artist and the writer.

That series is over and instead of the comic art it had always advertised, it had at from the cartoon and a different description.

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be advertising the series it's part of.
I've seen this image numerous time. It's just like how in the back of the pack-in comics theres an ad for The Transformers,
Autovolt 127
Basically it's going to retell the whole series….meh.

Sounds good to me.

In the 6th and final comic of Transformers: Robots in Disguise comic book, there was this ad. This ad used the art of the animated series, not the comic book, and it says it will be an adaptation of the animated series' stories, which the previous RiD comic was not! Did anyone else catch this?
